got a few things finished up thanks to Ens Industrial sending me a few parts. Got new studs since I dropped the tranny and bent two, then new boot and front driveshaft nuts, and longer studs for the exhaust so I can bolt up the turbo with custom flange.

also got the oil pan all ready for install. Now I got some of the toyota gasket maker thanks to ENS and the recomendation from Greg on the black goo that was impossibly to remove. So just have to put on the pan and will be able to pop the engine back in, hopefully for good:hillbilly:

What does Greg recommend?

Stuff from Toyota. Actually the guy at ENS industrial didn't want to sell it to me because he said it was expensive, I said I want the good stuff because I don't want to ever have to re-seal the oil pan.

'bout time this thing gets some attention!!! You know, if you ever get bored of it, i'm building a garage and can certainly make room for it... just saying...:hillbilly:

So you are willing to finish it up for me free of charge ;)

What sucks is that my intentions when I started this 5 or 6 years ago was to build a work truck for the environmental consulting that I do, since then I have sold out, and bought into my company, now run a company truck, so now I don't even really have a use for it, since I am all about old school for wheeling. Not really sure what to do with this thing anymore, but I have to finish it, hopefully this next year (hope to get majority done so it's drivable this winter, then finish little things as I go).

sounds like you're about a 6pack of Luckys and an envelope of cash away from saying "ok, back the trailer up and we'll load it on there..." LOL
Next time i'm in Chetwynd assembling another shovel for the mines i'll call you, or maybe take a drive up there and have a couple pints with you, talk cruisers and meet some of the other local cruiser-heads.
Cheers!
PS:the offer still stands and the island would be a great home for it...:hillbilly:

I still need a work truck. :hhmm:

If mine gets fixed up there is a chance I will probably have to sell it. You two will know if that happens.

Aww man, I vouched for you dude, you better not be turning into a flipper!

I sort of did that back in the day though, bought a wicked BJ42 after I had already restofied Blue, but because I was in school couldn't afford two trucks worth more than 10G and had to sell the one I just bought. Just don't do it all the time, flippers are scum!:hillbilly:

I ain't flipping
I am going to redo it. I have to once in a lifetime opportunity to do on IMO. I would regret it if I didn't.
I am going to do everything I humanly can to keep it because I really like it.
But if s*** ever did hit the fan and I needed finances ( I hope to god I will never get like that)
It will be the first to go because it's a big luxury.
Don't get your hopes up guys. I still intend to make it the fun/hunting/fishing/boys truck.

Sorry to ring an alarm.

Progress will probably just be slow on it,
My goal is to get the body done this winter but it's all financially depending.

Engine is in! Adam came over today after I got off work and we dropped the drivetrain in. pretty pumped, now its a matter of starting to clean and bolt stuff on.

Flatdeck it, mount a bigass flatdeck camper and make a bitchin' RV out of it!

Missed this. Sure anytime your in the area, we can have a beer. Not too many cruiser heads up here, just my brother and Howard now that Charla left.

Cheers,

oh it will be flatdecked for sure. I am leaning towards just making it my down south traveller, mild wheeler/camper, and tow rig for the wagon, because the damn wagon has trouble on the highway and I just don't feel like throwing cash at it since I will be starting a troopy buildup once i finish up the mine truck. Camper will be a maybe.

No the new plan is to build one out of my rusty 42 with an aqualu troopy tub.

Probably more cost effective too.
I still owe you for the help with my 75.

I also like that you will have a troopy and a 79 as your two keepers
