Im gonna try to build another winch mount this week to test a few changes we had I make ... so that the product design is locked down
Curious: is it an optical illusion or does the front bumper cover get smashed in between the winch mount and the fairlead? In some of the photos of the one you just installed on freddydt's, it looks like the bumper has been pushed in a bit (i.e., dented in where the fairlead is) Would some sort of spacer behind the bumper cover, but in front of the winch mount, cure this? On the other hand, am I wrong and the photos just make it look that way?

I thought the same thing.

Either a rear spacer or the mod you inquired about in post #122 would probably remedy that......Unless it's not what it seems......

Gave the Incognito a little test this evening. Been working on getting this stump out. Got tired of digging and chopping so I decided to give it a tug and see if would budge. Well, a few tugs later and the stump was out. Rigged up a bridle using one strap then wrapped the other one around the stump so I could run the bridle strap through the loops. Like I mentioned earlier, better to use both points if possible. It all felt very solid. Gave me some confidence for future uses. Second time now I've used the shackle mounts. Very handy to have them right there on the front.

Pardon the poor pictures...got dark on me.

It is my understanding after seeing it this weekend and speaking with Catlin that this is one of the issues that will need a little adjusting for the mass produced product. It does pull the bumps in just a bit but this is the first tabbed up product that will get refined. It is a REALLY stout in the shackle mounts and he was talking of beefing it up even more. Overall looks like a good product that hopefully people will want.

That all being said I am super excited for what SSS and WGW have coming out soon and am totally confident we will be having some cool new products this year! for our platform!!!

Yes yal correct and that's not something that is gonna leave our doors till its right with me ... I grind my teeth a Lil bit every time I see it :mad:lol
But like Brad @123ROBERTELEE said it was our first go ... no spacers are needed it's an easy fix that I have revised in the drawings already ... and @freddydt will receive a new one to make it right ...:pompous:

Pulling stumps with your ride is awesome. This one was with my last vehicle. Haven't had the opportunity with the GX yet.

An idea of how busy the KDSS is under there....

No - only driver side. Passenger side is the same as non KDSS.

gotcha ... are any of those components easily unbolted in anyway? not to removed but so that a frame mount can be slipped behind it?

I'll try to take a closer look tonight when I get home. Pretty sure a lot of that stuff can be moved off the frame a bit to slide a plate behind. I would even think that just having a plate go underneath the frame, and wrap around the backside instead, might work. But that's just thinking in my mind without looking at it.

I know there are folks that say they modified the OPOR slider to fit the KDSS - but have never seen a pic of how they did it.

While it certainly looks possible to unbolt the KDSS system, it looks very difficult. It's all one big mounting bracket, and some of the bolts holding it on look near impossible to get to without cursing every bit of the way. There is one section that you can see in the pic above that has a small space to possibly get a small mount to bolt up with one hole. Really no space for the leg though, so I'm really curious to see how folks are bolting up that middle leg.

Yeah kinda what I'm thinking. .. I'd have to see it in person I guess ... I'll do some research though as this seems to be a need more and more...
If the legs were welded that would make things easier I think bc you could get some weld along the bottom and around the back side of the frame

Welding would be a simple fix - although my fear with that is not being able to remove the KDSS system for repair if ever needed, unless you grind your sliders off.

I do have another idea for the sliders that would be very different than the existing thought process on sliders - but need to think it through a bit more.
