Just read through your thread, saw on page 4 you had to soak it in bacon grease, completely deflate it, and use a 7000 lb hydraulic jack to get it in there. Whatever works. Just kidding. Besides I think it would look way better to have a matching spare fully inflated on the back.

The bacon grease was from breakfast.... So really it only made it harder to control the tire lol

WGW decals? Gotta have some quality decals made for the WGW!

So what are the chances of an option on the Incognito winch mount, to add a tube across the entire bottom of the front fascia - and cutting the fascia all the way around, just below the fog light line (and arching up toward the wheel well)? This would act as a bumper 'slider', and give a bit more clearance while still maintaining the stock look.

I loved my hidden winch on my Tacoma, but eventually had to replace with a full bumper, since I kept nailing the bottom part of the plastic fascia in the corners anyway.

Pay no mind to my artistic skills - but more to get an idea of what I mean:

+1000000000 That would be perfect and WGW would have my coin today for such a thing.

and something similar for the rear. Protect the plastic and sides a bit, but maintain integrity of the 'Lexus Look'. :)

I definitely agree on both. One of the things that has discouraged me from getting new front (definitely) and rear (to a much lesser degree) bumpers for mine is how fundamentally those change the look of the vehicle. Now, I certainly understand they're shaped that way for function, but I've never liked the way most of the retrofit bumpers (a) change the shape of the front end, and (b) how exposed the front suspension becomes. Again, I realize there's a reason for that, but for those of us who will likely never wheel the types of obstacles where that would matter, we (I) don't want to change the looks that much.

I, too, would be VERY interested in some front protection that would retain virtually all aspects of the front end design. If it could be incorporated into the Incognito, all the better!

I'm sorry, I don't recall giving you permission to use my photo for your personal doodling. Just kidding, man. When @THeGeNTLeMaN and I went to Windrock, I never had clearance issues on the front, just the rear as you may have seen in video form. Lol. Between the lift and tires, the front has pretty good clearance.

You guys ran the easy trails at Windrock :P. The front bumper would never clear, going up trail 15 - or 44, and quite a few others. Our local park up here in NC also has a trail that would never clear. I had a hidden winch on my Tacoma (which had better approach angle than the GX - and on 35's). I nailed my stock bumper constantly, and eventually just got a plate bumper.

Hey, Trail 11 is more than an easy trail! Ha. Especially for me who has never driven off-road on that type of terrain. 22 wasn't bad though.

The idea of a off road front bumper serves two main purposes for me.

1) clearing rocks on the trails around Ouray & Silverton, some switchbacks need good clearance.
2) front end protection from all the deer and other animals we have in the area.

As I stated before, not in love with the SSO front or really even the ARB, as I think they stick out too far, but that could change after seeing them in person. The hidden winch has shown me that something else could be built and for now my front bumper will wait.

I am with you ccops2k, we wheel in the Ouray area frequently, and visit southern CO often also. I want the animal protection and offroad clearance, but don't want the added length out front.

the SSO bumper appears to stick out farther than it does ... only 4" more than the stock one ...

unless you have ever built a custom bumper i dont think people realize the amount time, work, trial and error it takes to build and design ....
and not just making the prototype but converting it into a 3D drawing that can be converted into a CAD format at can be laser cut and bent before we even start welding parts together.... and doing diferently than anything else on the market

actually a custom one off bumper (or anything for that matter) is easy ... its reproducing that same form over and over and keeping it seemless and fighting heat from warping it when you weld it , building jig figures so that you dont have to build the bumper on an actual vehicle everytime ...and then there is the critics that you just have to have thick skin for ;)

there is a hand full of those out there who have build their own custom bumper for a GX but there is a reason they are one off its alot of work for a small market ...

We realize that what we DO produce for the market isnt everyones cup off tea ... it wasnt mine at first either until seeing it in person and working with it more and more ... on the other hand many people love it ...

another design could be made now that we've done different things and had more experience ... maybe one day but it aint gonna be today ... between SSO and WGW we have over 5 different new produces being designed to be released this year ...

we appreciate everyones input and interest in our work and i think we open ourselves up to the public in away that many brands do not ... and believe me we hear ya! ... but these types of things take time

No, I do understand what it takes. A friend and I made some special hitches and mounts for a Honda S2000 to pull small trailers.

I am looking forward to seeing the bumper in person and the new stuff you guys have coming out, but right now the front bumper is not in my plans because of the reason I gave, but the rear is, plan to order one later this month for delivery in May to a friend shop.
