Forgot to post new wipers! Got the Trico 12" versions for "classic" cars. Part #33-122. Silver matches the arms and look right at home!

Got the old antenna holes welded up and painted. Turned out pretty good, nice having a clearly defined space to tape and paint. Sure seems like a lot of work to mount a Hi-Lift lol.

Started my Hi-Lift bracket fab project. Turned out pretty good, just waiting on the locking knob so I know what size nut to weld on. Of course the back weld was really good on the upper tab, but the front weld really sucked. Thankfully I'll be painting so grinder to the rescue!

I think I will have to grind the tip of the Hi-Lift like @pngunme suggested as I really don't think it is going to clear the door. Strange.

I will check - I'd prefer to not have to grind my brand new Hi-Lift but if that is the worst thing to happen it'll be okay.
 
No luck on lowering it - with the final placement it does clear the door by 1/16" if that. I don't like it that close so will knock off a little of the lifting platform to give myself more clearance. I need to recoat the bottom of the Hi-Lift anyhow as they powdercoated over rust so it is already pealing... :(

Instead of the pins I'm going to use a nut and bolt to hold the base to the step. I have those readily available. If it becomes a pain in the butt I'll swap them out.

Yup I used the same rubber tape that I used for my gas tank. I put three layers at the front end and one layer at the back end so it is naturally angled. Thanks for the reminder!
 
Finally got my Hi-Lift mount finished and installed. Happy with how it turned out although my weld of the nut inside the the square tube is pretty gnarly. But it does the job! Does it clear the door? Haven't checked but if it doesn't I'll grind it down some and coat it. The bottom of the Hi-Lift was peeling anyhow since they powdercoated over rust.

I scored some wing window gaskets from @Racer65 and finally got around to putting them on. Actually only got one on and that's about all my thumbs can take - going to take a little bit of time for them to recover. I feel like someone was peeling back my thumbnails!

The fit on these are perfect and man is it tight. Seal is amazing - I removed the little foam spacer I was using between the strike plate and the rotating latch on the inside since it isn't needed anymore. I'll tackle the other side when my thumbs heal lol.

Wow..spent the better part of this morning reading your thread. Very impressive work, especially considering you were not much of a "car guy" when you started. You have done a lot of what I need/plan/intend to do and the fact yours is a 74 as well makes it a great reference for me moving forward! Nice job!

Thanks man appreciate the nice comments. It has been a great learning experience and continues to be a learning experience. Seems like new challenges/opportunities pop up in these beauties frequently. One of my life mottos is "moderation is for the weak" so I usually go all in on things. I wish I had more money so I could get my 75 going too but that will happen eventually.
 
So I'm testing out some window gaskets for @Racer65. Have never done it before figured what the heck seemed easy enough. Cutting out the old gaskets was the toughest part of this job!

Gaskets fit like a glove around the glass:

I was wondering what that shifting sound was when I would flip the door. Ugh. Nice rust debris. Will clean out and treat the inside as much as I can. I've got some holes to weld up also on the back. Decided that isn't the best place for a Jerry can mount - the PO installed bike inner tube inside, wonder if he thought that would keep water out. Between that and the leaky gasket no such luck.
