Wobbly 4WD

I’m having a couple issues:

First, when I lock my hub caps there is a little more shake than when they are unlocked. Nothing too crazy but it is noticeable. What is the likely issue?

Next, when I shift into 4WD it is a lot more shaky. What are some likely issues causing this.

Steering wheel or whole truck in general? If truck in general i'd look at front drive shaft, start with u-joints. Then check t-case output for lateral play n same for pinion on front diff. I don't think locking hubs in should make the steering wheel shake but i've been wrong before. Good luck with chasing that down

u joints on front drive shaft?
damaged front drive shaft?

you can remove the front drive shaft and isolate the issue
