While I am waiting for my non-PAIR/1995-1997 hard pipe to arrive (replacing the pipes and hoses that are somewhat in the way of the York bracket on a 1994), I am knocking out some other parts of the OBA project. Today's project: Hand throttle (Toro part #102119). Besides trimming the cable and housing to fit this application, I had to drill a hole in the pedal bracket and add a little brass cable-stop. And voila!

Any reason you didn't use the factory hand throttle? Is this better/cheaper?
I doubt it is better. I seem to recall when I asked about the genuine Toyota part it was NLA? This one was only $8 on Amazon though. A couple bucks more for a set of cable stops I guess.

I got the OEM one from cruiserparts last year. It messed my idle all up and cancelled my cruise control. I need to try it again and hopefully I can get it adjusted properly
Messed up cruise? I'm not sure I follow. Does your cable go to the throttle body or the pedal? My cable pulls on the pedal shaft at the top (i.e. above the pivot) rather than my foot pushing it from below the pivot. I am not sure how that could interfere with the cruise function?

My idle would go all the way up to 2500 rpm without even using it and I'd have to pull it back with my foot all the time to bring it down. It idled all over and cc didn't work at all because of it I guess. Unhooked it and everything worked fine after that
Will do once I'm back home this weekend. But first, I need to figure out where I stored it these past eight years or so........

Hmm, this is a pretty important part of the York system. Maybe I should hunt some down to stock. I'm also wondering if this could be repurposed for use under the hood.

Likely because it was adjusted incorrectly. I would always see people pull on the cable to adjust the RPMs. That's incorrect. You press on the throttle to get it where you want it THEN turn the knob to lock it at that RPM. Turn the knob back to release the pedal.

Mine was doing that without even touching the knob. I'm sure it was in the adjustment though. I just unhooked it until I have time to mess with it. I also did my due diligence and read about the do's and dont's before I used it
. I don't do anything to my Cruiser without reading mud first! My throttle cable is pretty crappy too, so that could've been part of it. Hopefully I get it figured out because it's pretty useful for winching and oba setups.

Just need the distance of open frame between the brackets.
Then the distance of those two small holes toward the front to the Slee bracket. I can figure out the rest.
