Wire harness connector?

Anyone know what this connector is for?

Mine is not connected and was taped like this from the factory. It's on the passender firewall.

I wouldn't think so. The two connectors plug in to each other. So it looks like it's something for the rear?

Don't you mean the loose one that is not connected?

Blue ones are the rear gate. The other connector is for the brake and reverse lights. Whats the other connector that is not connected for?

Factory speaker was an option in the cargo area passenger side? What are the wire colors and traces?

I think it is for speakers.

I don't think it is for speaker due to the fact there was no connector in the harness for speakers were the radio plugs in.Not that I could find. It did have a power wire for the radio.

I'll take a better look at it today.

rear heater? I thought that the wire for the rear heater came down the heater pipes but maybe thats just earlier cruisers?

Only other guess is a non us four wheel drive indicator light?

Marshall, do you have the wiring diagram?....looks like a male and female conector with two blue wires coming in and out of each; cannot see the tracer colores thoughmy heater wires are blue also...IIRC solid blue + blue with black tracer.......HTH

Not heater wires. Since mine works and they do run down the heater lines.

I've got a wire tracer I'll follow it and find out where it goes.

I'm thinking 4wd ind. Or it could be to the rear indicator lights that were deleted in US pigs. We have reflectors.

most of your are blue wires are w/ black or red or white..maybe ones a rear heater an the other a speed marker or speed detector.wipers are also blue that go into yellow

You got it. It was for the speaker. Still crazy. I also found a buch of other connectors in the rear that didn't go to anything. WIll post a pic this weekend.
