i replaced my drivers window motor(without removing regulator) and now the window goes down fine but when going up it goes all the way up and then down 7-8 inches. tried disconnecting the motor both window up and window down to no avail and the same when disconnected battery.
i am assuming this is a safety feature in case a child gets a body part in the window. Is there a way to get the window to relearn to operate correctly?
TIA

there's a procedure that you need to do to re-calibrate the motor to the window control. i will have to search for it, but there's a specific set of instructions to follow

i did my own search and decided to use the window up and hold 5 seconds procedure and it worked! for the record i installed a DCKING motor and it has the auto up feature and has good power raising the window.
thanks Excessive for your earlier reply!!

so for anyone else who finds this thread: just hold "up" the power window switch for 5 seconds? is this on the affected door , or on the master switch?
