I did a little write up on it when I first bought it, think it was 5 or 10 minutes per tire. It's buried in our club pages somewhere.

Can it run for 20 to 50 minutes constantly without burning up?

Anyways, I guess you're set to go. Even if you need a winch on the trail, I am sure - like Norms says for the air - that there will be dozens of guys just aching for a reason to pull cable off their spool.

But if you need a permanent parking spot for the 45 (or even the 55 in the berry bushes), I still think I can find space. :D

All the times I went to Rubithon the lessons I learned:
1) 33" tall tire or better
2) You can't be geared low enough
3) SOA is much better than SUA
4) Mmmm lockers
5) Fuel injection is better than a carburetor

I built a SOA, fuel injected, double locked, sm420, 35" tired FJ40.
Never had to drag out a winch cable, spent a lot of time behind a tug'em though... darn pinions!
Make sure you have tug points front and rear.

check, check, and check

All the times I went to Rubithon the lessons I learned:
1) 33" tall tire or better check
2) You can't be geared low enough check (automagic,,infinite crawl ratio---up hill)
3) SOA is much better than SUA coils
4) Mmmm lockers check, 3 of em!
5) Fuel injection is better than a carburetor check, direct injected

Make sure you have tug points front and rear. need to work on better ones

So what are you driving there this year Phil?

You got it all!!
80 series chew up Rubicon and spit it out... you won't have a problem... mechanically. I would suggest some body armour though, sliders will be on your most needed list.

I like this one, and it looks like I can get my grubby hands (well delicate drawing hands really), on another 8274.

Marlin375 is from Kelowna. Send him a PM, and ask if he'll fab another one for you. (I got this photo from his intro post on OK-Sim chapter thread)
