Removing it off the 45 is not a concern, it's the grafting of it onto the 81's bumper somehow. As for when, any weekend before Rubithon![]()
$650 for a winch and bumper seems like a great deal - keep your 8274 for your 40...
Is that Mike's ad?
Aren't they all winch bumpers? Thats what torches/grinders and welders are for no?
No, you have a bumper... this is a long way from a winch bumper. Steel alone to fab up a decent winch bumper will be well over $400.00Aren't they all winch bumpers?
These tools will not turn your wimpy little bumper into a thing of strength, remember, the new bumper should be able to handle 12,000lbs+ of pulling power. The idea of trying to turn your existing bumper into a winch bumper would be difficult. The idea of bolting on a well built bumper in more appealing, even though I'm sure fabbing will still be required. 80 series LC's are more suited to low profile winches, IMHO 8274's look a little goofy. The mounting between a low profile winch and an 8274 is completely different.Thats what torches/grinders and welders are for no?
I can get steel easy enough.
You won't need a winch for Rubithon, it's mostly granite, not a lot of places to tie off to.

From the thread I read in chat a while ago, selectable lockers (and airing down low) are more important than a winch.![]()
Well I do have selectable lockers already, I'll air down in camp and fill up days later with my little 12v Tornado portable job I have.
