Will a 55 body fit on a new FJ cruiser frame?

It doesn't look rolled to me. Looks like it got sandwiched into something.

I think that should be the first rag top FJ :D .

Regarding the 55 series on FJ frame. First the 55 is much narrower, so without any mods you are going to have a hard time matching the 55 on the FJ. You would have the frame out farther and it may look weird, not to mention have some major challenges. If you really wanted a 55 on an FJ frame I would recomend widing the 55 body to fit appropriately. I shorten 80 series would fit nicely. Just a few thougths, I would still go with the ragtop myself.

It this cruiser yours and are you thinking about selling it? If it is not do you know whos it is and is it for sale. I have a diesel prado project I can used the chassis for.

Cheers,

Michael

hhhmmmmm....just me is there an awful lot of these things getting wrecked already?

Nope, it's not you. :D

Probably 3 things:
A. The FJC is targeted to a young male market. Same group that has high insurance rates and poor driving records (no offense guys.)
B. They have a high COG.
C. They are new, kewl looking, and probably a big target for joy riders... and it's peak season for those guys.

-B-

I'd take some parts off it.:hillbilly:

Not sure how the moose looks but i'd have to say it won that battle.

Well the driver and passenger walked away with minor bruises and scratches. They hit the moose and rolled 4-5 times from what I've heard.

Moose = 9-10 feet tall (up to the head) and weigh about 1500lbs. Big mother fxxxers.

I think the FJ did awesome(in terms of protecting the occupants). Toyota engineering did great with the safety reasons. Maybe my insurance will go down.
