I found the easiest way to remember is, all the rights have a slight upgrade to them, the left is pretty flat and a "Y" intersection, I believe its 12K mark. Just don't loose any springs.
Watch out for trucks. They will probably br in full swing. Last year I passed 2 water, 1 logging and 6 pickups (on the Thursday).
i have a problem with my AT
At was over heating
and i lost R , and 2nd was not going in very easy
so i lost pressure somewhere ( my thought AT is a goner )
i have worked on it a bit .
Rebuild a radiator (still had a over heating problems ) did a 75% drain (everything out of Transmission)
put a new transmission oil filter new gasket ( i saw a small leak out of the old one )
Im going to test it out on Sunday gone drive up to Harr west see if it can take it .
Sorry i had so much hope for Wipsaw , never been there befor
and was looking for a fun run with everyone .
if my AT is still acting up WIpsaw is out for me
I just received confirmation that I am definitly working Friday, Saturday and likely Sunday, that only leaves Monday possibly. So regrettably I am not heading up this time.
On a side note, since I am getting much more involved in a previous contract with working on CNC machines I had to get new steel toe boots. I picked up a set of Dakoda Mechanics steel toes (that's their name) and so far for greasy and oily work they are the best for not sliding around.
I am thinking I should have time in a couple of weeks and will be planning a trip then, have not decided where yet.
I will met you guys at Ricky's after I tank-up at Lickman. Should be there between 10- 10:30 am Friday. Coming over from the Island the night before and staying in Vancouver.
I have built a little bed board in the BJ74, with 70" of length to the back door, with passenger seat still in place. Modified the passenger seat tilt to max (hits dashboard). Bed set-up uses the back of the passenger seat as a pillow rest, with plywood supported by the passenger seat right seat slider. In my garage it seems comfy, but Whipsaw should provide a good 'shake-down' test.
Oh yeah - I installed mosquito netting on the front sliders - although the Velcro does not want to stick very well.
Hey Glenn:
OK, we'll see you at Ricky's between 10: and 11: We'll be on Channel 4 all the way out from Coquitlam, try to give us a call and we'll see if the CB can reach us in the valley.
The Lickman Road Flying J is a Shell station on the north side of the freeway. I think the posted price may be for cash, whereas it might be 2 cents/litre more for credit card.
I had to sleep in the BJ74 one time with the back seat folded up, and I can tell you I didn't get much sleep. If it works for you, then decamping is a heck of a lot faster than the tent trip. And, oh yeah, the mosquitoes at Well's Lake are deadly bloodsucking vampires.
Also, its good that you are coming in with us, because its easy to take a wrong turn at Whipsaw Creek and end up spending half a day trying to get back on the trail.
