I'm sourcing a June of 1985 FJ60 Transfercase (don't have it yet) to do a H55 upgrade on my 75 FJ55. I have everything ordered except a P-Brake kit.

Does anyone know which kit will fit my coming T-Case?

MB3 Caliper Transfer Case Parking Brake kit includes:
bracket, bolts, stainless rotor, and mechanical caliper.
Part Number 4066MB3 Rotor Bolt Spacing 2.6 x 2.6 $299.95ea.
Part Number 4166MB3 Rotor Bolt Spacing 2.36 x 2.695 $299.95ea.

Any help greatly apprecitated.

Thanks

Bob, somewhere in the 40 section I posted a diagram of all driveshaft bolt spacing.
Not sure how to search as I don't remember if it was a thread I started or just posted in.
I think Kurt @ Cruiser Outfitters posted a copy on his site - might be easier to find there!
I look forward to seeing your H55 install!

Just measure the bolt spacing in the flange. Easy peasy. One set up has even spacing and the other does not. I just put that kit on and am mildly entertained by the adjustment factor. Still don't totally trust it yet. I came out one morning after I first put it on and thought it was adjusted... to find the pig in the middle of my street. :banana:I live in a very slow area, so no biggie... but still trying to get it adjusted right.

Sal, if you were to choose between the drum and disk which one would you recommend I know you have had both

Thanks guys. I did try and call the company the guy I got said he had no idea. He just suggested that I wait till I get the TCase and measure it. But I'm anxious! I've got everything else collected! Sal other than the adjustment challenge any other issues? Do you remember the part number of the kit you put on?

Thanks

Kurt has my scan from an old issue of TT here:

Hope that helps!

Thanks!!!

I found it on the Cruisers site but darn I'm looking to use a 5/85 to 8/87 TCase on my 5 speed conversion. Neat parking brake add on that bolts to the back of the case - but they don't seem to know Toyota. Dumb. The Tcase I'm chasing is a 6 of 85 with following a 6 of 86 backup Tcase. Those aren't on the diagram but it did answer a question I have on my 79 Tcase and my 74 Tcase. And now I should be able to identify the 3speed case I have on the garage floor. Hmm maybe I've got to many??? Pig parts are just usually so hard to come by hate to turn anything loose. Thanks for the help Pablo.

Bob, you should just wait until you get your case and then order the brake. If it were me, I'd stick with the drum since it is lower profile and a bit more bomber in my experience so far. I do think the disc set up is getting there, and looks cool, well built and all that. It works, but I've still got to fine tune it some more. I am in San Fransisco right now with the pig and cant' even find a parking garage big enough. A little scary parking on the hills even with it in gear. Silly little people here with thier silly little cars.... I can't park in the lots.. too tall.

Maybe wait until your cas shows up and measure?
You can always machine the rotor to match up!
Heck, I kept the rear rotors off my '94 Civic for this exact purpose. You can have one, just pay shipping.
