It's the best. Get a filet with crabmeat topping or the Porterhouse. Get fries and put them in the dark sauce they put on the steak.
Marinated crab claws. BBQ Shrimp apps. Tamales are legit too.

Shapleys is the 2nd best steak I've ever had.....I'd go just to test it against your current #1.
Watch wallet......females in Renaissance is like us at lowes or yota shop.
I have basically lived on an expense account since 1997 in New Orleans, Dallas, Ft Worth, Shreveport, Memphis and Jackson and have done it up big at every major steak place in all of these cities.
Shapley's is better than any other steak house I have ever had. I said it when I lived in those places and it remains the same. Consistent.
Honorable mentions: Del Friscos in Ft Worth is a close second, Silver Fox in Grapevine, Village Grill in Shreveport, Folk's Folly Memphis, Dickie Brennans New Orleans, Bob's in Dallas

I agree shapleys wins for consistency, ambiance, proximity, etc but the best cow to hit my tongue was not from shapleys.
Silver Fox is a gem a lot like Shapleys. The wedge salad there is amazing. Great place. It was just the Grapevine location when I lived there. Not sure if it is still the same but when I lived there I spent lots of $ and time there.
