That's the first bone in brisket I have ever seen...read about it, but I thought that was a British meat market thing.

Looks good.

Server stood at our table 20 minutes discussing their meat philosophy and in house capabilities (butcher and cooking). It was amazing.

"If you’re eating brisket in Texas, chances are that your favorite pitmaster is ordering Item No. 120: a beef brisket, deckle-off, boneless. The number corresponds to the cut of meat defined by the Institutional Meat Purchase Specifications, or IMPS. No. 120 is “boneless,” meaning that ribs one through four have been removed (Item No. 118 is just “Beef Brisket” and the bones remain intact), and the “deckle,” or the hard fat between the rib cage and the pectoralis profundus muscle, also known as the brisket flat, has been removed. Even hardcore meat geeks may sometimes mistakenly refer to the brisket point (pectoralis superficialis) as the deckle, but that’s not what IMPS cut description means here. -

Being that today (Sunday) is National Pancake Day (according to Foursquare anyway - go figure), I noticed that AL and AR have the number 2 and number 3 pancake spots, respectively, in the country. Any of you AL guys eaten any at The Blue Plate Cafe on Governor's Drive in Huntsville or AR guys eaten any at The Root Cafe on Main Street in Little Rock?

Sorta hard to mess up a pancake, but some are better than others...

Blue plate is not a big hit with the locals.

Everyone raves about this spot for brunch.
Haven't tried it...

You still like ^these guys^ Grogan?

Man. It's not anything to do with the scare it's more that the meat quality is way down.

I still like it. I give it best chain still but I don't go there near as much as I used to

Well since Braswell just glanced over at his white board his dorky rocket guys provided him for food suggestions and Blue Plate was not on there he just dismissed the fine people at Foursquare.

I chose not to.

Like you say, pancakes are pancakes but these were real
Good and the syrup was on point.

The rest. Excellent. Locale. Excellent. Bacon. Crispy.

Once again Braswell don't know s***. Remember, he uses a gas grill to smoke meat.
