Wheeler Lake June 24/25 (1 Viewer)

Las year the Horsetooth 4 Wheelers went on an over night trip to Wheeler Lake just a bit south of Breckenridge and we are doing it again in 2 weeks! Plan is to meet up on the 24th at 9:00 AM on the north side of Montgomery Reservoir (Google map coordinates below, just copy and paste into google maps). Plan is to run up the trail and camp over night. It is a great trail with some awesome scenery and good wheeling. Minimum requirements 33"s and a rear locker. We had trucks without those last year and was on bowling ball hill. Lokking forward to this one hope to see some of you there!

@willbt your cruiser will be fine. The Atrac will likely be enough. Looking forward to seeing you there!

That's the spirit! bring a shovel too we may have to shovel snow at the top to make it to the lake. At the top of bowling ball hill there is a sharp right and the trail becomes a car deep gulch that is north/south facing that may have a bunch of snow in it. Probably sees 2 hours of sun a day. Might be difficult getting rigs through that but hopefully isnt bad. Lake sits at 12,200 ft and is gorgeous

Maybe next time then! The club will have a trip in August towards Buena Vista. I'll have those details up before the end of June for sure
