2005 lx470. I've been running these 1.5" spacers for 3 years with no problem. I now have a kid and am going back through all my sketchy decisions and noticed the nut threads about 90% of the way on (3/4 of a turn until flush). Is this a death trap? nut is 3/4" and stud is 1/2" so i got almost 1.5x of grab on them. I know the overall vibe of spacers is not great to begin with but want to run these until i get real offset rims.

I've found that the most important thing is to have torqued them over 100ft/lbs with red loctite and to check every 6 months or so to confirm they haven't budged. Also make sure the mating surfaces are free of any dirt/dust/etc so that torque value can't change.

Edit: Having said that though, I went back to my pictures of installing my 1.25" spacers (SpiderTrax) and I'm definitely grabbing more of the original wheel stud. Are you sure you have the right hardware in the right spot? Here's a pic of mine showing the thread engagement.

I just reinstalled with 95ft lbs (spec but trusting Chinese manual) and they all were 9 turns before torquing. So about 9.5 each

Yeah these are off brand amazon ones. I think to be totally proper i would get SpiderTrax or maybe longer lug bolts. it could be the 1.5" vs your 1.25" spacer. I have 9.5 turns on each of the nuts and them all being fine for over 3 years is probably ok?
