Hey guys, noticed that my atrac is working in the front but not the rear. Rear wheel that is up in the air just spins and spins with no input to stuffed rear tire. I have no lights on the dash and a scan with a Torque OBD II shows no codes. Could there be a bad wheel sensor in the rear? How would I diagnose? I was just going to swap them out for new units until I saw the OEM price tag. Thanks

Yes, the wheel speed sensors are what tells the computer which wheel to brake for ATRAC.

Is your foot on the brake by chance in this position? Bc that would defeat ATRAC.

Nope, no foot on the brake. Is there a way to test the speed sensors given no lights on dash?

Yep. See below.

Can you feel and or hear ATRAC trying to engage?

Is your CDL engaged?

Hey thanks Dirt J. I will give those sensors the ohms test! Yes, I can hear ATRAC working, and green light is flashing. Its working on the front, not the rear. ANd yes CDL is engaged.

Wheel speed sensors, gone bad. Will most times set off a DTC. One incidence I see, where they don't set off a DTC. Is page DI 228 # 4, in @Dirt J #4 post above. To often someone has pried a stuck in speed out, cracking the housing.

A few more considerations:
Are rear brakes assembled properly, including pins moving freely.
Has brake fluid been flush with Toyota brake fluid and air properly bleed. Which "may" need to be air bleed through tech stream.

A brake master. That reservoir is badly stained. Often has cogged screens, within. The ABS unit (black box on side of master) also has screens and along with valves. They to came become clogged. The best clue is condition of fluid and reservoir.
