no problems for me

Compared to the FJC on the passenger side, theres some extra hard lines in the way, but definitely taking out the battery and tray will help with clearance.

so today im gonna try and fab up a mount for my ARB CKMTA12 under the hood. im gonna try to put it between the fire wall and the back of the air box. my hope is to get it to sit low enough that i can also have that engine cover still fit. i plan on using the 3 studs on the fire wall(2 that are there for the plastic cover, and the other center/lower stud is just supporting a wire) to be my top mounts for my bracket and then the other mounts will be bolted directly into the fender maybe using the air box mounting holes... im not sure if im gonna try to cut a hole in the cover for the air chuck port or if im gonna pipe the chuck port to another location that is already open. i have a CO2 tank but the last time i went to use it somebody(insert probably me) forgot to close the valve on the top of the bottle so it leaked out and when i went to go fill my tires after a short wheeling trip on sunday i was met with such an unpleasant surprise, especially when i had lowered my tires to 12psi... FML thankfully someone close by had a portable compressor that i was able to at least get all 4 tires up enough to drive home. but this left me with the increased urgency to get the ARB mounted up. so yeah that is my project for today...

in other news i got my LR UCAs in the mail the other day, those will hopefully go on early next week, along with the air bags(inside the coils) for the rear.

sweet, take pics

Welp got a bracket all fabed up and mounted... I can't upload pics from my phone so it will have to wait until tomorrow for pics. But I'm supper happy with the outcome

so i gots it all painted and installed and wired up! works wonderfully! its only about 30 sec slower than my Co2 tank on filling a tire from zero to 40psi... and aft
er about two tires i start to get frost issues with the Co2 so i know this will be way faster than my Co2 tank... so that can get tossed into the back of the 4runner and sit and sit and sit lol.

ok ok on with the pictures cause i know thats all you care about!

oh and my weathertech window vents came in the mail today... took a little figuring out to get them in and working with the auto up windows, gah what a frickn nightmare i tell you, but i like them. id like them even more if weathertech could learn to properly package stuff and not allow them to slide around on each other on their trip across the country so they arent all scratched to hell by the time the customer receives them...

I just bought this attachment from walmart for my drill ... I feel like yours will be way more efficient LOL

B&D-TirePump.webp

LOL yeah its real ... I did a double take when i saw it ... $30 for the attachment it fits the 20V lithium Black and decker matrix ... the pump is good up to 80 psi ... so its essentially a cordless air pump so i just keep it in my truck for emergency ... it gets super hot though

check it out if you've never seen it -----> Black and Decker Matrix System

i bet that gets hot... id sure hate filling a tire any bigger than a riding lawn mower up with that thing... it would be like a bicycle pump slow and painful but great for balls or bike tires.... thats actually pretty cool! too bad its not Makita or Milwaukee...

Installed a set of ride rite air bags in the GX today. Went a little easier than I expected but its nice to be able to tow again and not be squatting.

please explain more on how you got the vent visors and auto up windows to work in cocert. i put off buying vent visors after reading some bad reviews on autoanything.

it was sort of a PITA but with some careful triming i was able to get it to work about 99% of the time. i had to take a razor blade and scrape of some of the material (thickness) on the part that goes in the channel on the fronts. the rears i have had zero issues with. the only time i have had issues with it is above 70mph, but i just hold the window up switch like i have to do on all my other vehicles and it works just fine. but again i almost never have my windows down at 70mph

ok so time for some updates... i installed my SPC(light racing) UCAs and got an alignment last week. love how she drives, and the tires are even quieter now. i also insulated my air box with a heat reflective wrap -i did this on my 4runner and im not really sure i saw any noticeable results, but i figure with how hot it gets under the hood in these things i couldnt hurt and i had the stuff laying around, so why not. other than that ive not been doing much... im not working right now, so i dont have much money to spend on it (which is ok cause OME is not out with the BP-51s for the 120 yet). i did take off the weather tech sunroof vent as it was crating a lot of turbulence on the sunroof it self and causing a lot of noise, not to mention it is rather big and bulky and with my sunroof not opening up all the way(something is wrong with the track or cables or gears idk) it was almost making the sunroof pointless. so away it went, and i must say im much happier now. oh i did replace the LED courtesy light in the center console storage box. so now i have a working light in there. there are a few other things id like to do, like replace all the rotors with LCE vented and slotted rotors and replace the front calipers but again i dont have $600 to spend on a want right now, and the breaks are working just fine at this point with no issues. but i do hope we get a good search soon so i can take this thing out and get some use out of it. im also hoping for a good winter with a lot of snow(lol yea right it probably wont happen but one can hope right!?). oh well maybe i should get some good pics of it while its still nice out and its all clean....

today i picked up a brand new 285 70 17 Cooper ST MAXX for $125 of craigslist. i mounted it up to the 5th FJC wheel i had, and then let all the air out of it and installed it into the factory spare location. it was a tight tight fit, and im wondering how its gonna workout getting the dang thing down when/if i ever need it, but its nice to know i have a full size spare now.
