Got married, had a kid, bought a new house, got a 55, got into side by sides, got into desert racing, figured out how to pair my work with my hobbies and now spend about 25 weekends a year chasing desert motorcycle racers across the desert as a Paramedic and get paid to camp and offroad.

WOW, those are all Top Notch Excuses! Congrats on ALL!

I have been meaning to post to this link for a while for my own sanity. Damn, I am missing a lot of good trips lately with my excuses. Kern Plateau, Big Bear, rubithon, Death Valley, Zion hike, etc. I think all my Toyota friends and clubs are going to quit inviting me soon. Do I want some cheese with my whine? :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

My excuse's are very simple, busy at work, and 2 young kids (3 and 11 months). Oh and tires, brakes and major service, on my wife’s car, a hit and run accident on my car, tires and struts on my car, $8,000 of damage to my RV by mice (luckily covered by insurance), $2,500 of expected major service to the RV, flooded garage - water heater failure, house AC repairs, home irrigation repairs, landscaping upgrades, selling my motorcycle to help pay all these expenses, health problems with the in-laws, kids swim class, kids ballet class, etc, etc. Life certainly was easier being single and living at the beach, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.;)

Of course $ always hinders trips, since the mods I want include higher lift, gears, and tires to make the trails a bit easier and the harder ones more tempting. $2-4K that I can't justify since the house, kids and family need to take priority. I guess I could just do the day trips and break my #@it so I have to replace it anyway.
