This is for sale locally for $35K. I know it's not worth that price, but I'm curious what the experts think.

The add claims " A full restoration " I wouldn't do business with these guys. That are way off in price .

Nice looking Pig, but my guess would be less than half that, maybe around $12k - $15k or of course, whatever someone is willing to pay for it :)

For $35k I'd expect a frame up which this isn't or doesn't appear to be....

Just my .02 which is on special for .01 today only.....

Typical used car lot "restoration". Rattle can everything that looks rusty. Probably a lot of black paint under the hood too. Paint job that looks good at night and armor-all. They didn't touch the drivetrain. Might be fun to go in there and point out everything wrong with it and talk them down to 7 or 8 K, but probably a waste of time. They don't want a knowledgeable 'Cruiserhead...they're waiting for a sucker.

I would say way less than 10k. Tha add says its Brand New. If its Brand New I would be scared of whats under the Paint. Especially if its Bubbling already. This a Dealer?

Thanks Bob.

It is parked at a Toyota dealer. I'm not sure if the dealership owns it though.

EDIT:

I just called and one of the owners of the dealership owns it. The salesman I spoke with said it's actually $38K.

When he picked up after putting me on hold, I heard someone in the background say "Everything is brand new." Presumably by "everything" he must have meant paint and tires.

Certainly not a frame-off as claimed. I wouldn't eat off that frame. That said, it's a great candidate for a frame-off. Offer 3,500 and walk away (fast).

SOUTHBOSTON. I saw the dealer plate and nothing against them. Never dealt with them. I inquired about an 87 60 series at dealer in western Mass. and they wanted 11k for it with 250 + on the odo and asked why and they said because the owner felt thats what its worth. So be careful these Guys now about our demand. And are trying to unload SUBPAR CRUISERS. i AM NOT SAYING THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT. JUST BE CAREFUL.

Thanks Bob.

South Boston, not to drag this out any further.( Even though I am.) I have seen frame off fully (PROPERLY) Restored PIGS sell for 10k less. I wouldnt buy a ******* SPARKPLUG from these guys if they think its fully restored and worth 38k consumer beware.

Thanks Bob.

Back in the day printed on money was a Latin word "caveat emptor" this meaning buyer beware . Something we all should remember.

I agree with Lil John. $3500 tops! Spraypainting over rust does not equal full resto! What a joke!
