It's just plasti dip... I actually like the wheels black a lot. I was against it for a while.
How much would you charge to paint a set for me? Cuz I can't paint for the life of me!

They look good but in my experience the problem with plasti dip is that if it gets a cut in it it will peel and if you scrape it against something (like a rock) it will strip right off. And it doesn't touch up very easily because of how thick it is. Why not just rattle can them and when you scratch them, just do a little touch up and move on?

I have plasti dipped 3 sets of wheels on all my room mates HEEPS an theirs held up well. If you want me to I can or rattle can it, either way it only took me about an hour.

I brush painted my sliders with one coat of Rustoleum bed liner. I had applied four coats of spray primer before. I'll put another coat of bed liner on, then one or two coats of matte black spray to cover. Then I'll bolt 'em on.

I hate the look, but had to have something to cover the 35s hanging way out there.

Going to attempt to correct in alignment, because it's as far as I can clearance without cutting out the fender.

I tend to agree. i am not a huge fan of the bushwackers on the FJ. They look very foreign compared to the rest of the vehicle, IMO.

I'd much prefer running no fenders at all. I would use some kind of material (bedliner or plasti-dip) to protect the part of the paint that the OEM fender covered to prevent rock chips though.

Brad, the wheels look sick! I have been thinking about plasi-dipping mine. But mainly cause i don't want to permanently make them black, ha.

Kevin, do you have to cut the bushwackers to get them to fit with the EXP1 rear? That bumper is very nice!

The waiting is killing me, but I hope to receive my sliders and skids this week::popcorn:

I know I want the Road Armor front Bumper with the single hoop, I'm just having a hard time justifying the purchase.

Talk about ignorance is bliss, i measured before and after heights of the wheel wells to see how much sag the new bumper added and I discovered with a full aux tank, I lean 1.5 inches on the driver side. i already have new springs, I just need to change them. I also ordered Medic83 extended rear sway bar links.

As for bushwahckers, obviously, I like the look. but another reason i got them was to help protect the quarter panels. They flex and are easier/ cheaper to replace. Also i painted mine and can touch them up with rustoleum bedliner at any time.

I enjoyed a day off yesterday after a 22 hour nightmare on Saturday. My wife, buddy Alex, and I went "down the road" to my brother in-law's land. We shot weapons, fished, dirt crawled, got muddy, chased elk and hogs, and had an all around awesome day. Here are a few pics of the fun!
The elk...
