I got 86. 4 runner 22 re fuel tank is 18 months old spowelds on the fuel pump brackets are leaking. Is there any model trucks or 4 runners that came with plastic fueltanks if so will it direct fit in my truck

No plastic from Toyota. Any efi minitruck/4Runner 1985-1988 should bolt in. Keep in mind that there were two sizes. Believe there were 14 gal and 17 gallon tanks available. The skids were different, so if you get a boneyard tank either make sure it's the same as what you have, or you get the skid too. Also, the fuel pump bracket will be different. Pump is the same.
If I currently have a 14 gallon tank, can I swap a 17 gallon on without having to change anything? Other words, will it bolt right up?
