i've seen a lot of inclinomoters and whatnot for sale recently. i'm wondering, what years of 4RNRs had that stock, if they did? i'm looking for a 4RNR, and i want to know if i would find a nice suprise such as that in there.

Non-north american models had them up through 95 at least, maybe longer.

The stock 85-89 ones are ugly in my opinion..... That's why I have a clinometer from New Zealand! Now I just have to figure out what a meter is...... :D

is that with the v6 motor? if it is, i guess i can live without an altimeter/ inclinometer. cause i want a 4runner with the 22re motor. and anything in the 85-89 4runner is beautiful to me.

Well I'm not too sure on all the years or if mine had them from the factory but I've had an 85 Runner with one, and now I have an 84Runner that has one. My 4Runner now to my knowledge is not an SR5 because it does not have SR5 style front seats, power anything, door pockets etc. It seems to be a bare bones vehicle which I believe would be a DX?? Anyway, just ask the seller when you go to buy one. PS, I have seen a lot of clinometers that don't work ie: one of the guages is locked up etc. Make sure and test one before buying it if all you want is a clinometer. Altitude may be a hard one to test before buying though....

They didn't put a V6 in the 4Runner until 88. You can find the SR5s around. I got the DLX though because I didn't want power windows and the rear heat stuff so I've just been swapping in the SR5 stuff I want as I run across it. So far I did the instrument cluster and the clino. It is really easy to install the clino. Just pull the dash pad and when you flip it over you will see the 4 holes that need to be drilled. Just drill those out, drill a hole for the illumination wires, bolt it on, and put the pad back on. It took me about 45 min not knowing exactly how the pad came off. Here's the result:
