Andrea asked me last night how long I have been on MUD for when we were talking about social media with friends over a drink.
While I knew the month and year since it tells us all under our avatar I couldn't remember what my first post was when she asked. So I looked it up.

Technically I had two since I bought the cruiser knowing nothing at all about it and posted in the 90's and 80's section at first thinking the year made the model number and then 2 seconds later remembering it was called a FJ80.

It was my first non domestic car and thought getting power out of the 3FE would be easy... LOL

"I have a 92 land cruiser with the 4.0 I6 engine in it... i've done all the suspension work that i want and have 36" wheel/tire combo. What I really want to do now is put some performance back into that engine with headers/exhaust/CAI/ chip and maybe a performance ignition. Finding these parts though is proving to be extreamly hard... does anyone know where to get these parts?????

any help is greatly appreciated and I am thankful I found these forums"

Here's the post... took forever to go back and find. @alk747triodad I told you that Logan was one of the first people I ever talked to on mud.... lots of PM's followed after this post and then somehow a year later I moved 40 miles from him down from 2750. lol

92 4.0 I6

And here is the post that I put in the 90's section that got moved to the 80's section. Only posting because this post generated a lot more talk.

4.0 I6

What was your first post on MUD?? Were you as naive as I was about these beasts?

Well, I think I have read every thread that has "rear sill" in it, and I still have a question....

How are the rear quarters attached to the rear sill member? Are they spot welded? Can the sill be removed w/o cutting too much of the quarters? I don't have that much rust in the skins and don't want to do any more sheet metal fab than I absolutely have to. Let me know if pics would help render an opinion.

Just click on your profile name, go to posts then go to show all content at the bottom.... depending on your post count it could take a while bit keep clicking on the highest page and then show older if need be.

you may have to repeat the last two steps quite a few times before you get back to your beginning on Mud

im a newb, May 10, 2015.
Hey Folks,

Just joined the forum and looking forward to receiving my new to me 1990 hzj75 troopy on the way from Land cruisers direct. Started off in nissan which was quickly sased and served me well for 13 years. Trip to moab in the nissan showed me how small those are and needed to get into something larger and more reliable. Grew up around these trucks overseas, and coincidentally had the exact same model growing up (color and all), so looking forward to reliving some old memories as well as making new ones. Did the crawling thing and shifted interests to overlanding. Truck arrives states side in june/july. Hope to get to know the folks on here and hopefully wheel with you all soon.

Man that was one of the nicest 80's I have ever seen.

No doubt either Jon's 40 or 80 was easily the best looking truck that ONSC has ever had.

Thanks for posting that Al. I bet you didn't know a 16 year old was replying to your post. He knew more about these trucks than I will ever know.

I miss him every single day...

New guy here - I can bring some cheesy corn kinda-like Jack-Stack's. I am also a BBQ guy, could smoke anything wanted.

Look forward to meeting you all and listening in on the meeting.

^^ first post. I was offering up cheesy corn a long time ago, too.

This rig is now parked in my garage......Thanks James :steer:

BreckenridgeCruiser you said, ".....the non-oem roll bar (for a 44, that is a 40/42 roll bar), it is not a 1982." Do you have any pics of a proper 44 Roll Bar?

Lurked for a long time, then posted this when I bought the Jalopy.
Seemed like such a good idea at the time.

In 2003 when SOR closed their forums a bunch of us moved here. Inexplicably my first post was a dig at 100 owners...
I like our new home... but.... 80 owners and 100 owners together in the same forum? There's going to be some 100 owners with bruised egos before too long.

I guess I was very proud of my 80. :hillbilly:
