If it was a month earlier I’d have a running 1FZFE you could have….but I do have a good(great?) A343 available.
IMO you already have a road legal 80, send it all the way for rock crawler build. F California, register it somewhere else.
Before I decided to swap, I was going to do all the Saudi mods on my 1FZ. I think it was going to run me about 7-8k to complete rebuild it and the tranny (myself) so I figured might as well diesel swap.

My 80 is street legal and insured would I daily drive it not even close.
If I wanted to go more hard-core, I would choose a different platform.
How much did you get for your 1FZ ?
It was around 1200 fully loaded with extra parts
