What kind of dog breed do you have?

I picked up a 7-week old Rottie this morning. My girls decided to call her Biscuit, after their favorite book dog.

Wow, only seven weeks, that's early...baby that cute pup

Here are a few pics of my son with his best friend "Gitta". I am not sure on the breed. My best guess is GSD and Border Collie. She was a rescue and a great member of our family. She is very good with our son, not so good with our cat and a great protector of our entire family. I love it when solicitors come to our door...they don't hang around very long :)

What kind of Rottie? ( ie American, German )

I don't know. The pet fair here is basically like buying from a kid with puppies in a cardboard box in front of Walmart, except that it's institutionalized and there are hundreds of them squished onto the sidewalk outside the soccer stadium. And that's the "upper class" place to buy pets. I shelled out $72 for her.

She did good last night, except that she got into my tool shed and made several messes. I fixed that tonight and it looks like she's staying in her bed so far.

My dog (was) a pitbull/boxer mix. She was the best dog I ever knew. Funny, protective, a sissy, girlish, the boss. She once squared up against a pack of wolf mix (9 total). she came ou ton top after taking down the alpha. The rest fell in line. She had her place in the pack.

Neighbors have two Anatolian Shepherds. Gentle giants and great dogs. The dogs come over by themselves and hang out. They lounge around for an hour or so in the house, and then go to the door to head home. We're trying to kidnap one.

I have two Boxers and will never be without Boxers again if its up to me. Great family pets. PG

Ps here is an image of my late male Boxer Oscar he died last year and was a fantastic dog. PG

The opening thread is what got me to post. Trying with my phone we'll see if it works

This is Ginger my Standard Poodle. She's a hunting dog from a long line of hunting poodles.

We lost our 3.5 year old chocolate lab, Finn, to a freak spleen tumor a few weeks ago. :( We'll be looking for a puppy again in the spring. We still have our wonderful, 14 year old, golden mix Luna who is hanging in there despite her arthritis (Finn was supposed to be her successor but she outlived him).

Probably another lab, I'm thinking a yellow female this time. I've researched so many other breeds but I've yet to find one that fits our lifestyle/energy-level/compatibility needs better then a Lab.

RIP Finn.

Labs are hard to improve upon as a family companion dog.

Mine has a bit of Alaskan Malamute in her which makes for an interesting personality.

Here is my brown dog, rescued him 7 years ago. I've had labs through the years but never had a Shepherd until Wiley. Quite simply he has been the most incredible companion.

She's a mutt but the best dog I've ever owned.
Notice anything cool?
