My Boxer caught a Porcupine
This is after about a hours work getting
the easy ones out. Vet called finally and
met us at 10pm last Saturday in Sweetwater Texas.

Here is my Boxer Cross named Okuma as a puppy and on her first camping trip. We later added another pound puppy named Gila, not sure what breeds she is. They like to cuddle on the couch, spoiled pups!
These dogs are not mine, but I live with them (technically, my room mates) but I take them on adventures too.
Aspen is a 9 year old Black Lab mixed with something else.
Shes kind of a big girl ~100 lbs. But she's a total sweetheart.
She tore the dog equivalent of an ACL a few years ago, but it was repaired and she gets around OK now. Her days of backpacking, hiking and the like are over, unfortunatly.
Next is Zaz (the spaz). He's a 1 year old Czechosolovakian Vlcak -this is a dog that was initially bred by the Czech government in the 50's for border patrol. They bred German Shepherds with Carpathian wolves. This dog is smart, high energy, and extremely crazy.

English Bulldog and a Rat Terrier. The Bulldog's name is Mack. He's prety hard-headed but a total wimp. Ava, the Rat Terrier is the boss, and love to play fetch with anything- particularly rocks. Mack is content laying around doing nothing, but enjoys swimming (with a life jacket- you have to see it!) and kicking around a basket ball.
Be careful with that Vicak outdoors! I could totally see that dog being mistaken for a coyote based on appearance.

That was my thought, too. Keep him out of rural NM/CO unless on a leash. Beautiful animal, though.
I've heard it said that once you've had the love and loyalty of a boxer you can have no other breed. True?
Here's my boy! Almost 8monthd old and probably over 70lbs now. I adopted him but they told me he was half St Bernard and half Anatolian Shepherd. I knew Bernard's got big, but didn't know what an Anatolian was. After bringing home I googled, and thought 'oh no, I've adopted a monster.' So far he's pretty darn smart, energetic, and perfect!

Couldn't ask for a sweeter girl, family dog and hunting companion. She hunts, wheels with me, climbs 14,000' peaks and sleeps with my kids. She's getting a sister this fall and we can't wait.
