These dogs are not mine, but I live with them (technically, my room mates) but I take them on adventures too.
Aspen is a 9 year old Black Lab mixed with something else.
Shes kind of a big girl ~100 lbs. But she's a total sweetheart.
She tore the dog equivalent of an ACL a few years ago, but it was repaired and she gets around OK now. Her days of backpacking, hiking and the like are over, unfortunatly.
Next is Zaz (the spaz). He's a 1 year old Czechosolovakian Vlcak -this is a dog that was initially bred by the Czech government in the 50's for border patrol. They bred German Shepherds with Carpathian wolves. This dog is smart, high energy, and extremely crazy.
Be careful with that Vicak outdoors! I could totally see that dog being mistaken for a coyote based on appearance.
Boxers is what we have these days. Rescued, adopted and owner surrendered. Love em.
