No idea on that one specifically, but you will find unused connectors all over the vehicle.
Harnesses are manufactured to work for multiple models and spec options. Is cheaper, faster and eliminates mistakes by including connectors that don't get used rather than to manufacture 100's of different harnesses for every possible variation

I'm pretty sure, given the location and type of connector, that that's where an aftermarket or "port installed" security system would connect
