Thanks, I agree with you.....original lasted 19 years vs 2 to 3 some are saying for the cheapie.....

That was my attitude on it, the original parts lasted this long, so why not try it again. Unlike you, I'm more of a pay now cry later when the cCard bill comes in. Lol.

Trying to decide what to do for my radiator. leaning towards an oem from Toyota. I get a great deal on them. Sometimes working at the dealership has perks lol.
Food for thought. Working on a customers decked put 80 and we were fighting cooling issues. Did the leaking hg, cooler tstat, and replaced his aftermarket radiator with a factory unit. Truck was still running hotter than I'd like. Dug a little more on the truck and found under load, aka pulling a hill or accelerating it was running super lean. Changed the fuel filter and Cleaned the injectors. After that we couldn't get it over 200*. Being 20-40% lean it was creating excess heat.

Just wondering if early model radiators are dcd or if it's all. Looking at changing out my 97' fj80 radiator.

@beno just got me a genuine Toyota unit for my 1994.
