Ok this probably sounds crazy, but someone told me I should Lambo doors on the front two.......wait for it..........only because there's some sticky spots some places where you can't even open the dang door all the way. Kinda made sense.

Stripped my interior. Removed seats, carpet and door panels.
Need to clean and dry everything out.
Scooped out 3 handfuls of sand from each door cavity.
Time to let everything dry.
Tomorrow wipe it all down and wash it.
Friday install everything back and take it detail shop for interior surface cleaning.

Yes. Had a some left over from having done the wheels. It's held up for two trips thus far and so I figured why not? If it doesn't work, or I end up not liking it, I'll peel it off. Although it isn't as easy to peel as the video suggests.

A few maintenance things to take care of, and we're good. Sunroof gasket for starters.

I'll be curious as to your success with the sunroof gasket replacement. Hard to find a shop in this part of the world that knows how to do it properly. Such a simple thing in theory became a PITA

I'm interested too... the previous owner got something messed up with the track so he just pulled the fuse so nobody would open it.... I guess that's a 'fix'? lol it would be nice to have a working sunroof...

There's a good sized event coming up here next month at a place with plenty of opportunities to tear my PlastiDip right off; so we shall see. I think it'll look even better once I put my bumpers on in the next couple weeks.

Last year here in Vegas at the SEMA show I saw a Jeep painted in a rubber compound this exhibitor was selling. Very cool looking and durable. Also easy to repair. I'm going to see if I can find them again this year. I think a lot of members might be interested. I have stock chromed rims on my LX. Is it hard to keep the Plasti-dip on them?

it isn't as easy to peel as the video suggests.

Everybody says this... But I've found that if you evenly give at least 4+ thick coats it peels off all in one piece. That is assuming you've properly cleaned the surface before you start working on it!
