I dig the garage decor and the patriotic cues throughout. 🙌🏻

Your rig is rad and I can’t wait to get my Ironman 4x4 classic off road bumper and install it.

Glad you were able to get the parts you needed and just in time. Enjoy your vacay!
Thank you! I love the bumper, one of my favorite add ons next to the winch.

It's been almost a week that I haven't been able to drive the LC and I absolutely missed it. By far my top favorite cars i've owned.

I see the Bimmer is at the shop. Again. At least they aren't as bad as Jags or Alfas.

Pulled the spindle to check on the needle bearings and CV seal reassembled and greased the axle using the Slee tool.

Covered the spindle in plastic while I wait for SEAL, DUST(FOR FRONT AXLE HUB) the paper gasket for the dust cover seal to arrive.

Part 43430-60040-84
Purchased from Toyota, branded by Toyota so I assume remanufactured by Toyota or someone they approve.
New wasn't available and reman were on back order. Never mind price for new was about 5 times that of reman.
I know it’s been just about a month. How are the “-84” Reman axles working out?

Took out the factory recovery points;

Excited to receive the Ironman rated recovery points but not until stocks are available by October 1 according to their website.

If you want them, come pick them up here in Vegas and bring a couple of beers :pig:

New fenders installed, they are some cheap Chinese ones from parts geek. The fit was pretty good, had to drill a couple spots out but nothing too serious. $400 for the pair and now I am chopping off the lower portions lol. More on that when the time comes.View attachment 2797162View attachment 2797163
What section of the FSM talks about that? I looked but didn't see it in there.

Finally got a chance to install the ASFIR front and trans skid plates. I had to source some longer hardware and more spacers because of my diff=drop but it all bolted up fairly easily. I did not have to elongate any holes or cut any slots. They do provide good protection to catalytic converters as well. A would-be thief can cut the exhaust free from the back of the rear-most cat but getting to the rest would be way too much hassle. Looks like oil changes and driveshaft greasing will be easy as well as there are ample openings in those locations. I give them a solid 8 out of 10 stars.

Looks good! Which skid(s) are necessary for Cat protection? Just the front, or the front+intermediate?

Oh man, I should have been clearer. Totally serious. Was trying to figure out what’s needed to pull the side fenders. I wanted to get under my passenger side.
There are bolts along the edge of th hood, oen by the door towards the top with the door open, two at the bottom near rocker panel, and two rivets in he vicinity of the headlight housing, which should be removed along with front bumper skin possibly.

Exactly as this man said. Then just maneuver it around your antenna mast from there. Super quick and easy.
Edit: mine didn’t have the 2 lower pinch weld bolts, as my pinch weld is gone😈

Im waiting with you lol just ordered on friday
Been waiting for 3 weeks now lol. Mine’s just going to hide behind the factory bumper. Bet yours would look great. Post pics when installed :repost:

I'm fighting with some rust, unfortunately.

I needed to cut a plate under the diesel filter (the cloth that sits there...no no no. It just collects water), clean the rust and weld a new plate. Than I had the brilliant idea to remove the rear mud guards (they just collect snow and become heavy, and crack) and a braket fell apart in my hand. Remove the plastic cover that hides the tank pipe and tada! Rear quarter panel with a lot of rot and rust. Now I'm thinking to chop the quarter panel completely, and maybe get a new rear bumper, or fix it with new metal sheets and put it back together before the winter hits, and leaving the rust issue for the next summer...
No salty roads where I live, but my LC was in the south of norway for the last 20 years...

Installed the @DesertDoesIt Seat Jackers this past weekend. 1 banana job, quality of the product is outstanding and I like the new seat position so far. Very convenient place to put the fire extinguisher, too. Velcro straps are temporary, looking for something a little quicker to detach if the excrement hits the extraction unit.
