Previous owner got a little overzealous with bump stops. I know, given the condition of the already deteriorated bumper this is like curing a cancer patient with a cold but I do what I can with what I have for now lol.

Absolutely, part of the reason I got it for as cheap as I did is because it needed new tires.

BF Goodrich KO2's coming in hot soon. Loved them on my 4Runner.

That looks great, that snorkel, does it conform around the antenna? Mind posting the link where you got it? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if it's raining, there's a drain on the bottom of the snorkel to make sure it doesn't go into the engine, correct?

There are channels near the back of the head that drain water out (incoming water will be at speed, so it's routed to the back of the tube and out the holes). And your airbox should have a plug as well. Out here they're mostly used for dust—water that high would make for some super fun computer errors, given all the electronics that reside in the kick panel.

Wildcat Extractors (headers) and 2.5-3" Outback exhaust on. Woot! love the response and sound. Power is much smoother and sustaining through the mid range. Nothing mindblowing but noticeable. Next stage is to install a Unichip so i can dyno tune the AFR's as she smells like shes running too rich. Reckon there is some small fuel savings to go with that too. However, Without any 02 sensors on the vehicle im stuck on a map designed for stock exhaust.

Nice. Any sound clips?

How restrictive is the stock system?

Not to be a smart ass, but how did you get that far off trail?

Doesn't appear to be a road there.

The road is where the glacier is right now. I *thought* I could hop off the road, under the glacier, and back up the other side. I ended up getting stuck in mud way softer than what it looked, getting pulled out, and subsequently having to go under the glacier anyway to get out. (The hill I came in on was too steep to get out of). So in the end, I got where I was trying to go but got stuck for three hours and had to get out of the valley a different way. 🥵
Don’t harass me, I learned my lesson

Not harassing, but come on man, just turn around. This is why stuff gets closed down and we eventually lose the privilege to visit these places. You had other options. My rant is over. I am, however, very glad you made it out without injury or worse. Man you have a jam up buddy too! What a nice gesture

is it a true Cat or a delete?

Got badly stuck in my 120 Series (Don't know why I wasn't driving the 100) and got yanked out by a buddy and his 100. He drove 2.5 hours to come save my a$$. At least the view was worth looking at while I was waiting....

Just out of curiosity why would you drive to the bottom of the snow drift? That's where it would be the wettest and muddiest. Glad your buddy was able to recover you.

That is not a glacier, but a snow drift.

Common practice is that if you can't get through it on the path of the road you turn around. What you did was not only dangerous, but very much against everything tread lightly. I hope you learned both lessons. I woulds suggest you read up at Home - Tread Lightly! about the do's and don'ts on trail riding. You are much safer trying to get out the way you came in.

Why could your buddy not have winched you up the steep hill you came in on. Or if it was so steep have one person hang back to make sure the trail is passable. You need to read up on high altitude tundra landscape and the realize the impact your actions had on that environment.

thanks for chiming in Christo. This is a good reminder for everyone.

@Beams37, that is a fairly juicy tire. May be what it is. Suppose you can play with the spacing on the mod a bit, but most folks are not running tires that big, so the adjustement/mod shows significant improvement. I run skinny tires 255/85-- 1.6" thinner than yours and a 33 vs 34. Still nice to have the cargo space back for ya. All the folks you see with tires on roof's, just silly. Can't lower these huge tires safely w/o a boom.
