Picked this beauty up last year. Going on 300k and born in Montana and original service records going back to 1992. Just replaced the manifold, radiator, and did some other under the hood work. Just put some studded snow tires on so ready to freaking rally

The engine is still strong but of course since I just dumped money into it the clutch is now slipping. The driver side axle is stuck in the transmission so we can't drop the trans and replace clutch. The C-Rolla might be on death row.

OR
It sat for two weeks and oil must have made it's way in to the clutch and caused it to slip because today it didn't feel so bad.
>>> Is that possible? I assume if it's starting to actually slip and has no material left it won't last very long.

The 4AFE motor was really one of Toyotas finest.

I think those axles are less than $60 online. Sawzall it off, drop the trans, beat the old axle out with a BFH, replace clutch and axle, reassemble, and profit!

True that, someone more of a man than I could probably get it done. I've got the skills but I'm limited now a days in my tools , gravel driveway and winter approaching . Excuses ? Yeah for sure .

I brought it to a trusty Toyota Indy mechanic , said they all tried working it for an hour and couldn't get it out ...then I brought it to Schwab who told the same story ...idk .

Slight background on that axle , I attempted to do a ball joint, failed miserably, the entire axle fell out , I shoved it back in and proceeded to drive to mechanic as the axle pounded the s*** out of the transmission the whole way their.
Every rotation, bam bam bam bam=]

And today the clutch feels fine so this will be fun to ride out and see what happens . If it s***s out I certainly won't let it die and will work on plan B

Sounds like an adventure!

The wife wanted two trees this year, so we loaded up the dogs and the tiny human and headed out Bridger Canyon.

We didn't find anything we liked at Battle Ridge, so we headed out toward Flathead Pass. We found a couple nice trees, but didn't see any other cruisers out there.

Also got the 40 put anyway for the winter.

We got some great trees, the pass was wide open. We decided to go up and over all the way to spring hill. The high country is still open for business.

Spent the weekend in Whitefish, the "high country" there is no longer open. We got turned around by snow at about 5000'.

Gate keeper has all the power to let people pass. His personality needed to be moving somehow. So gate seemed more fitting than just the fence.

While your gate keeper appears to be fine fellow, I truly admire your "parted plant". I'm gonna steal your idea, but likely not you skill....

The “flowers” sculpture was actually the first one I ever made more than a decade ago. I can’t remember the exact scenario but I made them for my wife. I hate buying flowers that will die soon after. So I made a permanent set. That’s a1FZ came and dipstick tube as the base. I think all the flower bits are from a 1FZ as well. I remember having a too warped to use head on the bench after a head gasket job on a work 80. So took a motor out of storage to fix it. For whatever reason with all the bits on the bench I thought it was flowers. It started the yet another Toyota problem.
