The pictures is from the passenger side of the head on a new to me '96 FZJ80 with 213k on it. Is this a head repair with epoxy? The engine seems to run well and there is good power.

It certainly looks like a dodgy crack repair using epoxy.

It is solid. I'll take more pictures today. My hope is that the "fix" is shallow and for the bolt. Maybe the threading for the bolt broke off the head when someone tried to remove it?

Thanks Clownmidget...that looks like the same spot where others have seen a head crack. So it looks like I have the "band aide" fix from the PO. You can see in the pic above that they appeared to have gauged out the crack before filling it with epoxy.
The good news is that I bought this rig at a great price as a project and with the long term plan to do a diesel swap.
