Hi-Lift and Awning installed, next is the RTT! I'm ready to get out for a spring time adventure as things are starting to warm up in the PNW! A deer decided she wanted to photobomb my picture:D

Looks great Doug, Looking forward to seeing how you mount your RTT on your rack. I’m currently just running some Rhino rails but looking forward to seeing what solution you come up with. It’s always a real pain to get the final fastening of the RTT to the rack executed.

@DrRock I've got a RoofNest Falcon and the clamps are easily accessible. From the rear, I mount the clamps on the second from the last crossbar of the NCD Roof Rack. For the front, I remove the fairing to get easy access to the second from the front crossbar. I'll post some pics when I get it installed. I have been thinking of a simple quick-release system that would make it easier to attach and remove as I don't like to haul all my gear when I'm using the cruiser as a daily. The key is holding it tight to eliminate rattles.

I'm also working on a QR system for the awning and other accessories. I've got 2 prototypes in process right now. See attached for the first one. It's not quite a quick release but you can take the awning off in about a minute by yourself and the attachment screws hold it tight so it doesn't rattle (I hate rattles).

I’ve got a panel design that fits around *most* aftermarket lower retractors, but covers as much of the open body work as possible. Ping me if when you’re at that step and I’ll send some photos. Maybe it works for you, maybe not.

I’ve been wanting to do this too, but I want to find the FJ62 plastic covers that go over the retractors. Then I can run a set of my 62 panels (the kind that are shorter than on a 60). I also want to do headrests in the back but finding a 62 rear seat back so I can steal the tubes that receive the headrest posts has been … well, I haven’t been successful in almost two years of looking.

I put the seat belt planet ones in my 60, 3 pt front and rear. I wouldn’t do it again; I’d find a suitable used or other vehicle option.

My SBP belts are a pain to use. The retraction spring is so tightly wound that if you unbuckle and aren’t holding the male end, it shoots off into to window. I’m used to this but my passenger window tint is all scratched up from the buckle smashing into the window at 237 mph.
Next, the lock on them is super sensitive and the angle of the belts make them “self tighten” while you’re driving. While driving, I routinely have to gently pull the shoulder strap out and feed it back through the male end to give me breathing room. This is like every 10 minutes, more if you’re on a bumpy road. Almost daily, I have to unbuckle while driving to completely retract the shoulder belt and then rebuckle.

For the rear, I put car seats in regularly. They are near impossible with the SBC belts because for some reason, putting a car seat in is the ONLY time the seat belts won’t lock.

The plastic housing over the reel portion is pretty big too and wasn’t easy to fit in the rear without interference to the seat when folding.

Honestly, once I’m done with more pressing projects, I’m ditching the SBP belts.

Interesting. Had assumed the SBP parts were better than that from reading other peoples posts. I just didn't like the look of them. Makes me feel better about all the hours I've put into adapting the toyota parts for mine.

Todays task got the trim panels to fit around the external retractors. Overall I'm happy. Now to figure out headrests.

First time using the winch. Pulling out overgrown juniper and holly bushes. Didn’t need the winch but hey, I paid for it, may as well use it!

Washed it, took a load to the dump, and swapped out the black wheels from my 44 to see how it looks. I think I like the black ones better than the stock chrome...
