Long overdue oil change in my transfer case and diffs. Used Schaeffer's 293. Tcase oil was way low (only got 3/4 cup out of it when I drained it) and the oil was BLACK, so I'll be changing it again next weekend after giving it a week for the new oil to absorb all the nastiness from the old oil.

Removed my bumper, cut out the rear cross member in preparation for a 4x4 labs rear bumper! 14 rivets to go.....

How ya doin' on those rivets? I'm hoping by the time I do that job I'll have a big enough air compressor to handle an air chisel at full volume. Otherwise I'll be stuck using a grinder.
Saved them for another weekend. Going to make sure I have fresh grinder wheel, full tank for my torch, and fresh drill bits...

removed radiator that was jb welded and installed a new one. new thermostat, belts and hoses. pulled ac compressor and drained oil from it installed a new drier and now gotta check all that for leaks and refill it....

I went with two sets of WOLO Sonic Blast horns. Each comes with a high tone and low tone. Most cars typically just have one of each, but I got two and made brackets to mount the horns to that attach to the AC condenser mounting bolts. Got longer bolts with 3/8" long spacer sleeves to stand off the horn brackets from the condenser and wired all four horns in parallel powered by a 30A relay. I had 12ga wire that I used, but you'll get plenty of current to them if you use 14ga wire. I just used my 12ga silicon insulated wire so it would stand up to the heat from the condenser and tranny cooler without having the insulation get brittle over time.

I'm very satisfied with the tone and volume of these horns. It's a perfect fit for a 60 series.
thanks for the intel I'll try a pair.

Finally, hit the milestone and lots more left to go...

Wow... its practically new!
mine a bit further on, another milestone this weekend!

it was like an oposite countdown, 6...5....4...3...2...1...0! :)

But then id know...maybe you could swap em for me some night while im sleeping so i can wake up and think high mileage was just a bad dream

Cool to see there's still some low mile 60s out there!

Love my stihl 16". Great for smaller stuff. I also run a Husq 20" and love that saw too. However I think if I would still pick a stihl for best chainsaw work. ;)

Run Stihl premix in your fuel. Check the fuel filter screen in the tank. Check the air filter. On the exhaust side of the saw is a diffuser to blow the exhaust away from the saw. Under that is a mesh screen that can get clogged especially if your running poor quality oil in your premix. Of course check your spark plug.

But.....Friday...installed arb bumper, Marlin crawler histeer, and painted tuffy box to match interior.

Looking good! Just got an ARB bar too, waiting on delivery...Was wondering, when fitting bar, do you use any of the original brackets/hardware for the installation? Asking because I got my 62 without a oem or any bumper, just the frame rails showing.. thanks

The stock bumper brackets need to come off. You mount the ARB brackets directly to the frame rails.

The ARB brackets get bolted on - then the bumper has a series of mounting holes that allow for different height settings for the bumper.

Over the past week...
Cleaned the inside of the frame with a Mustang drain Jetter. Frame was half full of rock hard silt and debris. The jetter worked perfect, nothing left behind but a pile of mud on my driveway.
Pressure washed the undercarriage best I could while I was already wet from cleaning the frame.
Replaced all body mount bushings with Poly.
8274 Winch bumper build in full swing. I'll start a thread on that once I get far enough to post some pics.
