Done! On cold start the new fan clutch has a nice roar vs. the old one’s…fan sound??? Thanks to @Timmy65 for the videos 🍻

New rear bumpstops $40 on Amazon. They look identical to what was removed down to what looks like a Bridgestone “B”

Rear compressions are very flat compared to the old cracked ones. Game changer.

Are those your old ones on the bottom?

I'd take them off your hands for the co$t of shipping!

Better than mine as they currently sit 😎😂

Although, for $40, sounds like a no-brainer (vs OE co$t)! 🤘

Yes those are the old ones.

Wow yours were rode hard and put away wet.

Get the new ones IMO. But, if you want to fund USPS I will ship them to you.

@Timujin

Thanks for the push, I found them by PN for $29.
Even if knock offs, they're probably better than my packed out, half size stops. 😅
thx for the impetus. 🤘

Hey guys, I know you’re all pretty experienced, but this video is aimed at beginners and newbies who are just starting to work on their Toyota. It’s in Spanish, but you can turn on English subtitles.

Hope it can help to anybody.

Cheers! 🚗💨

Caught fire... literally. And miraculously didn't completely lose the truck

I went for an easy day trip hitting some desert roads about hundred miles away from the town and it looks like in the course of bumpy action my battery hold down bracket loosened up and shorted the positive. It melted down and burned through the wiring harness next to the battery. Melted insulation caught fire. Luckily (big pheeew) I was on a dirt road, going slow and had a window open so I started smelling it pretty much right away and stopped. If it happened on the freeway I am pretty sure I would not smell it until it is too late. Now I know that having a fire extinguisher is a must, in this case I was able to put it out with water I had with me but it is definitely not the right way to do it. And (again luckily) the harness damage was not as bad as I was afraid and I was able to drive home OK.

I am still assessing the damage but here is a photo below.
