I don't at this moment, its been nothing but rain here in the evenings. I have thought of changing those 1156 bulbs to LEDs, but after seeing those sockets I am leaning that way more. I do recall the plastic lens section for this bulb looked brittle on one side of the car. That same side has, from what I can tell, the original Headlight Assembly, the driver side was replace after some accident prior to our ownership.

Fog light mod is super simple: In the steering stalk you just connect pin 17 and 16 (17 is a fat wht/blk wire, and 16 a skinny red/wht wire) and then bingo!

Yeah I actually have LEDs installed in my blinkers and they're crazy bright. Still get hot enough to cause problems in the cheap socket apparently. I love how bright they are though.

Haven't heard of that way of doing it but doesn't sound too bad! I was planning on just using a jumper cable in the fuse box under the hood.

And can you get it out of the garage now?
🤣

So moderate front and heavy rear, I assume you're planning for drawers and bumper and tire and all that stuff in the back? Do you have a build going on this one?

Nice work quick progress 🤘😈🤘

*Edit*
I just reread, so the variable rate and long travel is what makes it 3 in. That's rad, this looks like you're setting up for a ride set up with great articulation 😎
Still fits in the garage 👌😁

a jumper under the hood is an option, I just did Part Two. What LEDs are you using, if I may ask?

What size, any spacers, and any rubbing? I have 285/70/17s wildpeak MTs on those wheels and am hitting the sway bar at full lock.
35x10.5r17's, 1.5" wheel spacers, no sway bars and the suspension is so stiff still that I hardly notice it 😅 cut the body mounts, need to trim the driver's back a little bit more. And I've obviously cut the bumpers but need to trim a little more on the fenders in the front and the rear. Need to get bump stop extensions as well. Too much flex.

Posted in the wrong thread earlier. Played around with painting the lettering and rectangle/mesh areas gloss black to tone down the Lexus logo some and add a little depth.

Tried some backlighting. Going to add some shielding so it just lights up the center section around the logo.

Added some raptor lights from Amazon. They snapped right in, no hardware or tape needed. Tapped into the DRLs. Didn't want them on with the headlights.

Hopefully someone with a 3D printer will start making custom inserts. I'd love to design one up.

It's a little to much for me, but I'm picky and like simplicity.

Can someone who has more wrinkles on their brain than me explain the raptor light thing?
Mandated by the government…marker lights are required on any vehicle 80” or more wide.

Edit…ahh, now I see. Why the marker lights on a GX, which certainly is less than 80” across…
I guess some people just want some bling.

I think it's a looks thing mainly but there's a spec/regulation somewhere that vehicles wider than 80" are supposed to have those amber lights up front... 🤷

But curious Raptor gets the billing and not Humvees or other prior wider popular vehicles...

I'll have to eye that upgrade if/when i get a sticky caliper. Currently eyeing gears as there was play in the front.

Replaced my clockspring today. Also had some issues with Redarc's tow elite recently, it would seem to forget it's calibration randomly. Reached out to Redarc and they determined my unit was an older version and sent me a new kit. Installed that tonight as well.

My pass side was really bad/broke so I replaced it with a cheap aftermarket option. I think the DRL's would get too hot though and the blinker started to malfunction, blinking fast/sporadically when engaged. I just disabled the DRL's in techstream but I need to just get an OEM socket and change it out. Need to do the fog light mod as well. Do you have an output shot of the BD's?
Here are some shots of the BD lights. I do like their pattern even if it is just an SAE version, the vehicle is used for work a ton so legality is an issue with the fog lights. Other lights may come later depending on off-road needs. I tried to capture with the same light levels, but phones being phones made this hard. All shots have low beams on, not highbeams. Not sure if this captures what you were wanting to see.

I also replaced the actuator seals (shaft and o-ring).

I have an early gen JW tire carrier. Installed the JW offroad tire carrier door skin reinforcement today. They just started listing the kit on their site a week ago. Major pain doing it solo. But now both door skins are tied together and fitment was spot on. I only take issue that no additional bolts/washers came with the $55 kit but I expected that going in. Had some grade 10.9 M8 bolts around to do the job.

Also added a shim to the lower rear door hinge and the door closes with much less interference now. With a tire there was a few mm sag enough to cause a little extra contact between the door hardware and reciever. Now it’s perfect.

Finished installing the front parking cam (you can see the white LEDs on it below the license plate). We have super tight parking at work. Mounted aluminum skids from OK Expedition. Quick shipping and quality pieces.

Figured out mounting for a trail jack and Jerry can on the rear swing out as well.

the front mount cam seems cool, but why so low on the truck? isnt it just gonna catch a rock or covered in mud at some point?

No worries of mud and rocks in the parking lot. Have to pull super close to the vehicle in front of you so you don't get a ticket for the rear of your vehicle sticking out into the traffic lanes. It's crazy. But I need it low so I can see how close I am to the bumper of the usually way lower car in front of me. I have a traffic cam/dvr mounted up high on the windshield too. Came with the 13.6" Tesla style screen.
