How old is your truck? When was the last time either the coolant or the thermostat have been changed verifiably?

If you do, then proceed with how Toyota recommends servicing or when your thermostat was changed.

What year? What model Land Cruiser sir?

It’s a ‘91 HZJ77. I’ve had it for about two years, and I’ve never flushed the coolant nor changed the thermostat. I got it off an auction on the Mainland, so I have zero idea of its history or anything about the previous owner. Sounds like I’ve got a plan for this weekend now!

Pulled all the interior panels, sprayed inside em with Fluid Film and a topcoat of some sort of Pro Form wax-based rust proofing, then got underneath with an HVLP sprayer full of Fluid Film and sprayed down the entire undercarriage.
There was still decent residue in the inside panels from the first time I did it, which has to be 4 years ago or so. Pleased about that but won't let it go that long between sprayings again.

Was gifted a set of worn 235/75R15s on rims so that my 74 will actually fit in the garage. First time since landing on Canadian soil 10 years ago that it will spend the winter out of the weather and in heated comfort.

Also picked up one of those Victron solar charge controllers that seem to be all the rage on mud
Just need to sort out my roof rack and I can start working on the solar install.

No not yet, been given it hell! Broke the rear ujoint and damaged the drive shaft. Winched myself 7 times with just front wheel drive. Solo wheelin.

What kind of a rear bumper is that? It looks pretty rad.

Nothing terribly exciting but kind of fun; I replaced a worn out u-joint in the front driveshaft, a leaky front pinion seal, checked and tightened up suspension and drivetrain fasteners after last months adventures. I also removed the old ARB bar (most the the fasteners were snapped or significantly damaged), cleaned, repaired and reinstalled.
