I hardly doubt it. I heard the vehicle needs to be at least 25 years old. Even then, the 2007 model is the same as the american '97 in terms of safety and emissions standards. I think it meets less emissions standards than your '97.

Even if you were able, I think cost wise it would be better to buy a really clean '97 and replacing non-maintenance drivetrain parts for new ones. That would result in a vehicle in better overall shape than the average Venezuelan 80

OK, to complicate things further, there were dealer installed leather kits available to cover manual cloth seats. I called a dealer back about 93 or so about getting my '91 interior upgraded to leather. They said there was a cover kit that could be put over the existing cloth seats. Didn't do it because of cost. So if your leather seems odd, look under it.

Sorry to revive an 11 year old thread.. But i came across a 1993 FZJ80 with manual leather seats. Leather is torn and i want to replace it without going full custom-route. It seems like im SOL, since leather skins for "regular" (factory) seats will not fit these, and there are no reasonably-priced skin options that will fit these seats? Or is there?

I bought L seat manual leather seat replacements a couple months ago. Not a huge fan but they are good enough for $450 shipped.

Oh wow, thanks! I've used their skins before to replace regular (power seat) leather, but i didn't realize they had the manual seat versions. This will work nicely for this particular project.
