Been wanting to replace the cam on the 2F. Going back to stock profile so I can get my vacuum decent, before I go TBI. Finally got a time. Need to press cam out of timing gear and press in new cam tomorrow at work. Then start reassembly.

All new belts. Which I didn't do when I replaced the alternator because they didn't arrive in time. It was Dumb to nit just wait to do it all at once. It was Also dumb to try and do it without pulling the battery box. Yes it can be done but you end up bloody and have a sore back so you can save 10 minutes. 🙄

Is that the injector tip?

Yep that is the injector tip. There was no conceivable way to pull it out, so i had to tap it through into the cylinder and get it out through the spark plug port with the magnet / borescope.
Wow nice work glad you got it out. Good name for it lol

I have my 74. Srretched40 going to a new home. Lots of work sorting parts etc. hope to see it back on the road one day. I have had it a long time.

But, this means the K5 gets bumped in production line! Haha

Thinking about quicker release awning stuff. What do you guys think of these? Anyone ever used something like this? This way I can keep my exact mounting setup just super easy to remove the 4 nuts holding the awning to the mounts

Ive not used those or seen them in the wild. Seems like a good solution and I like that they are of decent size. Basically to remove break it with a wrench or socket use push button to slide off. To put on slide on by hand, hand tighten then snug down with wrench or socket. Maybe add a lock washer to the process so when driving it doesn’t shake loose???

If you dont have a 270 awning I think something like this would work better and I'm sure you could make something. Pins would be the easiest IMO

It's a 270. Found some similar ones that were heavy duty but they're like $200

Make your own, thats my plan. I found a few designs online already that you bolt on to the rack and then remove a pin to remove the awning. I wouldn't trust those weird nuts on my truck but thats just me

I moved 4573 back into the garage. Now to clean the rest of the trailer out. Gosh I have missed seeing it. Plus I opened it up going down the street to the amusement of my neighbors😁
