Thanks Rob. I did detach shifter connections and go in with a wrench and click through each position on the transmission to test that out.

I'm thinking next step is run through harness methodically one more time and then open up the transmission to take a look. My strongest suspicion at this point is that the P/N switch or maybe the pawl got messed up in the tow. Definitely need to wait on some warmer weather though!
I would hold off on opening up the tranny. It would be hard to damage anything in there, even if they dragged it.

Pulled the upper intake to clean it but I'm thinking I might as well pull the lower too. Not today though.

Because I'm already halfway there and it would make changing the fuel filter a piece of cake.

I'm thinking my hesitation could be from dirty intake or vacuum leak from some old lines I missed. Idk.
I'll replace the lines and filter and TPS when I put it all back together.

I'll also inspect and rewrap the harness.

The harness goes through the intake.....lots of vac lines and a few coolant hoses too. Have you done the PHH yet? It would be a good time to do that too.

Is that done on my truck? Been meaning to ask you

Yeah I've done the phh but not the phh neighbor.
I could get really down the rabbit hole and pull the injectors and have them cleaned too. Or even run a new harness but that's probably crazy. Right?

Do you want it to ever run again???!!!!!

Do it all! You can fix it right in time for everyone to be back from Moab

Dave,

did you ever replace the fuel pump?

Making up a blank off plate for the old stereo spot to house some switches. Currently only have the switch for the interior light but room for additional as needed.

I ordered one of these. I am going to see if I can start on either my bumper build or swapping diffs in the 80 this weekend. Just not sure how long I can stand and do not want to over do it. I am sure I will take a lot of breaks and watch the KOH racing.
