Bill contacted me and he was on his way. We were going to meet up in a local parking lot to swap the Troopy from his trailer to mine. We got home and Bill followed us up for a quick BBQ and share some stories. I was so excited I couldnt wait to start going through the 47. I had only seen pictures and now it was in my back yard. Even Wendy was excited and we sat there just looking at our new Cruiser. Bill was off on his way and I spend the next few hours cleaning out all the stuff that came with the Cruiser.

The more I cleaned the more excited I got. Inside I was really impressed with how clean everything is. I found all the factory jack tools and hand crank. The headliner is on really good shape just starting to separate from the roof. Seats are in good shape and the rubber floor mat is in amazing shape. After getting the inside cleaned out it was time for a break. Next would be seeing if we could get her started after 4 years of sitting

My last day off I was able to start getting her cleaned up after sitting outside in the Florida weather. 6 years of grime and moss growing in and around everything. The front of the hood took the worst of it. I have to say everything else is still very solid. It took me a while to check all the fuel lines and I pulled the air filter off to make sure there were no rat nest or anything else that could get sucked in before we tried to start it. I checked the oil added a few gallons of fuel afresh battery and within 10 minutes she fired right up. What a Great feeling

Would love to hear stories the roof rack could tell... looks like it is "experienced" and has quite a span between the front and rear support bars.

Great truck!

That is awesome, what a great truck

Rob, mine sat for 8 years under some redwood trees, fresh battery, some fuel and the 2h fired right up. You will love the diesel, slow but crazy reliable. I like the Thomas pto!!
Brother i Love this rig

I am still going through a few boxes and found these today. I hope next month we will have more free time to really start wrenching on the 47 and get her road worthy before long

Time for some updates. I'm starting to collect parts and such. I hope in the next few months we will have it next to the shop and start getting busy. 7 months until the 45 Run @orangefj45
