I’ll bet! I’ve seen him at several places similar. Flew in last summer to see him at Floore’s but he canceled the show as he’d been playing extra benefit shows after the Guadalupe River flood and was tired out

Road trip!! I tell folks often; id rather drive the 62 than the bronco on long road trips. My favorite road trip car of all time!! Cruise control would be nice... but... Headed a couple of hours North to visit close friends Steve and Marry and their new to them Fj40. Steve was the one who donated the tetanus cruiser to us. He got this 40 for summertime cruising in the north country back roads. Great little car, but it needs a PTO winch! I happen to have 2 so this 40 will get one of them along with the gearbox and pto shafts. Will love seeing it reconditioned and riding out front on this beauty.

For the first time in 6 years I fired up my XL-Big Green Egg., Ive cooked many KCBS comps with this rig, I forgot how fun it was to load it up and roll smoke. Had a party Saturday and we did 30LBs pulled pork, 30LBs brisket. Cows occupy that field across the road...when loading up the XL with brisket i cant help but feel that the cows are watching. Also met several neighbors at the garage condos as there is something about cars and BBQ that bring folks out. With the tetanus cruiser out of the shop Roy has his spot back.

Got the ARB Bumper back today and did a test fit. The PO ran into something that bent the stock FB and seems to have bent the frame a bit. With some "influence" i got the reconditioned ARB bumper to fit. I was blown away with the quality of work the fellas at the shop did to get this one back and looking amazing. Now, lets see if @razzoo goes for it... fingers crossed! Sliders should be done by the end of the week. Having new brackets custom made. This should mitigate any damage should we encounter some crazy TX and Wi deer crossings. Hill Country is crazy with Deer...

Couple more weeks in our current spot with access to my Happy Place. got busy on my last projects for the summer on the 62. Installed replacement dash, 97% improvement! In the "while were at it" territory i swapped in the antenna from Tetanus as well. Clean dash AND working antenna! How many 62 owners can claim that! Were getting new tires aswell and I have been trying to talk @razzoo into the black steel rims and old school hub caps. Mr Hogan came over and helped me with the swap... While these tires are a tad smaller that what we will replace them with it was a test fit to see if we liked the look. She liked toe look! Will order up the rims and tires this week. Meantime we roll on Roys. Last project for now will be front breaks... they started makin noise. This week we get the arb side rails back from the sand blast and powder coating and will trial fit those as well. Who knows, maybe she will want to keep that look... will see.

Whiskey bottles on the Ibeam are my favorite decoration, need an old Bronco grill to set up next to the fj40 bezel. You need to road trip, I got your journey & Nolans bull s*** to keep us entertained, the SAS guys are always on point.

Thanks, Couple years ago, we stayed in Georgetown KY and went to the Derby, at Keenland. That started the Bourbon collection of Woodford Derby bottles. Ive since added a couple Blantons. Would love to road trip the 62 out to SAS, its on the bucket list for sure. Id attend just for the fellowship and campfire stories.. Love the Bronco grill idea.

Got the sliders back. Refurbished and ready for the next 60 series. @razzoo wants to maintain stock look so we will be putting the stock bumper back on. A new one. Meantime we will carry the bumper around until we find a buyer. This past weekend was the last weekend in the shop. Were headed to the East Coast..... Of Wisconsin! Going to spend August on the lake in hopes of cooling down a bit. Then on to Sioux Falls for September, then, AZ followed by Hill Country Winter take 2~

Made it to the East Coast.....of Wisconsin. Maybe not a perfect day to sit in the lake, just nice to know it waits.. Never pass Nueskes. Best jerky on the planet, and the triple thick cut cherry smoked bacon aint all to bad either. Having a supper club less that a blocks walk could be detrimental to my liver.

I wish we could drive on that lakeshore. Like we can in Texas.. not here. Not sure if there is any lakeshore on Lake Mi that you can drive on.

Ran into this beauty at the campground on Sunday. Great build, nice couple, escaping Norman OK heat for the cool try climate of lake Mi. Last weekend we drove the house up to Door County. If you have not been, you should plan to go.

This Friday we start making our way South. First stop, The Shop for a week. Then we head to Sioux Falls for Sept as I have jury duty!! Uggg.. then we head to AZ for Oct.. staying in Cottonwood. or thereabouts. Taking some time off for a nomad gathering then head back to Texas for the winter.

Got kicked from Jury Duty! Still had to stay for a couple of weeks while Jen had to make a trip to Florida and back to help her Uncle. Made a Jackrabbits game tail gate with the coach... Rain was the theme for 10 days! Need to rename the coach to The Arc.

Plan was to head to Arizona for Oct, we got a bonus week so we made our way to Buena Vista Co as we have several nomad friends that now live here. Amazing drive over and finally out of the rain. Getting some elevation.. In-between work calls and dinner visits we visited St Elmo and Salida.

No trip to Salida is complete without visiting Classic Cruisers.. Bonus, getting to see world famous signed photograph of @landcrusher909 fun to see. And the bone yard can take all day. Highly recommend the stop. Saturday we head to Phoenix, plan is to spend Oct in AZ, take a little PTO, help mom and spend time with fellow nomads... and maybe find that 100 series we have been hunting for.

Classic Cruisers is a must. And Rob is a piece of work! Should have seen the rattle canned air conditioned FJ55 he brought to SAS this year. He built it in about 2 months. Awesome!

SAS is still firmly on the bucket list. Want to bring the DragonFly out one year.
Made the 2 day trek from BV to North Phoenix. Amazing drive, Until you get south of Durango... We have criss crossed NM a few times, still trying to find a redeemable aspect of the place.

What a long, strange trip its been... "is cottonwood AZ on the way to New Braunfels" she asked.... It can be... I replied.... But only if we go through Buena Vista Col in route. Found a place North of Phoenix for a 2 week stay. Great spot, but we are missing the mild climate afforded in Buen Vista... 3 days of 100+ degrees and they assure us, fall is here... Hope to get some post work time to explore the area, moms got a place in Wickenburg were going to check out.. maybe head over for supper one day. and keep eyes peeled for that Hundo we have been hunting. They put us by the 2 trees in the park that offer some shade.
