axle is out

Not super productive tonight but got some junk done between family time.
Got the housing stripped of everything except the sway bar mounts. We should be able to cut and turn with them still on. Still needs grinding.
On my mini I shaved the drain plug as that was what would catch on the front end. Not really worth taking an inch out of the housing IMHO, with a smooth housing you can usually just blip the throttle and get through.
Plug was ground down past the magnet location and reinserted from the inside. Welded inside and out.
Got the rivets blown on the rear mounts and plased off the fronts. Little bit of grinding and the fronts ready for setup.

Not much to report on tonight. Picked up LCOwner's pipe cutter for the C&T, talked cruiser's for awhile and did a little grinding on the front housing.

Now for the cut and turn.

After a bit of research we landed on 3/8" for our turn.

Got the frame maeasured up and drilled out for the front axle shackle hanger.
