Looks like a sloppy rebuild to me. Perhaps it works great. If so I'd want to closer to $500 than $1000 for that winch.

If it was a "Full rebuild" then mabey 1k if done right, and I mean all new parts...wheres the 3 or 5 pin connector?

but on the contrary, anyone can paint, slap a new motor and throw a few parts at it and up the price tag...

New ones are what, $1,800 or 2,000? If it's in good running shape it would be worth it, but it's hard to tell that from the photo and description. But, you should be able to buy one for half or less of that one and rebuild it yourself.

This is a better idea. I wouldn’t trust someone else’s rebuild, especially for $1k. Buy one for $4-600, rebuild it yourself following threads on MUD & then you know that you have a good one.
