wants to know what you would do to a 1985 toyota

first off i will make sure you guys know i do all the work on my truck, that said when i take one of my other vehicles to the shop to get fixed, i really do not give my mechanic a grammar test before he works on it. i could care less if he passed grammar in school as long as he can fix my car, this is tech not grammar, so lets leave that b.s. for chat can we!

yea I am thinking if you have an early 85 it just was built in 84 titled as an early 85 and the later ones ...........well you get the picture.

I've never heard of a vehicle titled as an 85 having IFS... build dates do not count as model years...

The 22R or 22RE is all I think there was for choice in drive train.

August is the magic changeover month on model year. So, a build date of 8/85 will be titled as an '86.

But the real decider is the 10th digit of the VIN. Goggle "Decoding VIN", there are lots of sites about it.
