Looking for engine compartment pix for early pigs.........searched this forum for about 4 hours last night and about 3 hours this morning and have seen some awsome rigs and and engine compartments that make me drool ............but no pictures of reasonably original engine compartments and am having problems figuring out where things went originally
on these two pigs that are pretty well carved up but that I am thinking/hoping to resuscitate; <body transplant thread> the engine compartments are stripped.......... well kinda; the 69 has a partially dissasembled CSB ............. interiors are gutted and my 78 seems to be totally different in many many ways from both of these..........have access to a F 1 1/2 motor with no oil pressure but good compressions
+ an h41 with split TC and a broken fairey......plan is to remove the body from the 69 and place it on the 79 frame and axles.......then probably place the F 1 1/2 motor in it if as I suspect it is a sending unit problem which caused the owner to remove it to put in a csb............does this seem like a frecuent trend
? ...mated up to the h41 and fairey if I can scrounge up a decent one or enough parts to make this one work....in the ideal world would go diesel + h55.............but have to watch pennies and the 2 pigs were already crusher material so the price was very good
; I know I am an idiot cause "Rusty" is running beautifully; have put on about 4.000 miles since got her together in the fall.......about 400 a week............just hated to see these go to the crusher

if you are ever down this way; as you can see from the pix even a year or two difference there are a lot of changes and even on the same 155 engine the oil filler was moved from the oil pan to the valve cover
