Is there any other option to get a second programed key for our 99lc? Dealership is way expensive! (350ish for key and program)
Thanks!

My dealer a couple weeks ago charged me 35.00 for a master key, non remote, cut and programmed to the truck, which they did on the spot. I had to ask them twice if the price was right. 15 minute deal.
Do you have the receipt? I'd like to know what part number key they used. I recently had two keys made at the dealership. First was an Eternity Key replacement for my remote key. Cost me ~65 bucks. Second time I asked for a non-remote master key and they made me a valet key. I had some discussion with them and it turns out that that is all they can do. I haven't programmed it yet (they wanted ~30 bucks to program it).My dealer a couple weeks ago charged me 35.00 for a master key, non remote, cut and programmed to the truck, which they did on the spot. Pasted from a post by CruiserDan in the "lost keys" thread:

It is possible to use a plain master like in say, a Camry, so that you do not have to spend ~250 bucks for a key with the buttons in the head.
For 98-02 use 89785-26020
for 02-07 use 89785-60160

If you search on here and the web, you can find the programming instructions to do it yourself. You can get the key housings on Amazon or ebay for pretty cheap if you don't want the OEM ones. You might also be able to get the remote fob for inside the key aftermarket, or you should be able to get a key that does not have the remote in it. Hope that helps.
